    TGIF! What happened this past week in Dev and Community?

    Player Bans May 31 - June 6

    As a reminder, the following numbers are permanently frozen accounts, and don't count temporary freezes.

    FB: 15
    KPs2: 6

    The majority of permanently frozen accounts are frozen for being a shared or alternate account. This is something we actively investigate, and we appreciate players reporting suspicious accounts to us.

    If you have any questions or comments about a frozen account, please direct them through Support as the Forums are not the place to discuss account freezes, because of the sensitive account information involved.

    A new week means new Limited Items! Here’s what’s up for grabs:


    A Reminder About Our 24/7 Bot Detection Tools

    This is a quick public service announcement to remind everyone that our bot detection programs run twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week. We don’t turn them off every night with the lights, they continue monitoring the games for suspicious activity which the developers review when they come in in the morning.

    “What suspicious activity are you monitoring” I hear you ask? Well you’re in luck, our Updates on Manual Freezes and Tracking post contains updates in our ongoing effort in the war against bots. Remember to check back regularly for updates. If you have anything you want to report to us, whether it’s a suspected bot user or third-party tools available on the Internet, please contact Support.

    Happy Friday, players!

    As always, lots of behind the scenes and under the hood work has been going on to improve the games overall, however a few minor tweaks have also been made that you might see some effects from.

    For example, War teams who join with the same names will now be distinguished with a number. Also, an update to the Attack/Defense item lists should apply a fixed order to items with the same stats to stop them arbitrarily swapping places.

    We've been getting some tickets from players who have been frustrated by "chaining" - namely repetitive battle actions from a particular person. Because our games are based on competitive combat, this type thing isn't against the rules. There are some limitations in the game to help keep things fun and fair, but if you feel these are insufficient you may want to try pitching your ideas on the forums.

    Adding limitations to a battle game is a pretty big deal and not something we would do lightly, so we would want to be clear that this was something the majority of our players wanted before we could commit to developing a restricting game mechanic.
