TGIF! Here’s your development news round-up for the past week!
Player Bans June 28 - July 4
As a reminder, the following numbers are permanently frozen accounts, and don't count temporary freezes.
FB: 4
The majority of permanently frozen accounts are frozen for being a shared or alternate account. This is something we actively investigate, and we appreciate players reporting suspicious accounts to us.
If you have any questions or comments about a frozen account, please direct them through Support as the Forums are not the place to discuss account freezes, because of the sensitive account information involved.
New Limited Items!
A new week means new Limited Items! Here’s what’s up for grabs:
July Three-Day Weekend Calendar!
Ready for some fun and games? The July Three-Day Weekend Calendar started this morning at 10:00 am PDT and finishes up on July 14 at 10:00 am PDT.
In-Game Message Priority Tweak
This is a feature suggested on our very own forums!
As you can see in the top right of the above image, there is a dropdown box that will let you specify if you want to display the most recent message (current functionality), force the tab to display Clan/Squad/Mob first, or force it to display Public first.
Arena/War Scheduling Change When the Two Events Conflict
We pushed out an update this week that changes the timing of Arenas or Wars slightly when they come into a scheduling conflict with each other (i.e. they occur on the same date and time). The jist of it is that one event is bumped up by an hour depending on whether or not there's already an event in the next time slot it would have taken. Read more about that here.

Happy Friday!
I thought that this week I would gab a bit about a topic near and dear to my heart: Freedom of Speech.
For those of you who slept through Social Studies class, if you have Freedom of Speech it essentially means that you can criticize your government without them arresting you for it. Many people consider this an important component of a healthy and ethical political system.
It does NOT mean, however, that someone can act like a complete A-hole on the internet and be magically immune to all negative consequences of their actions. If you are being loud and obnoxious in a restaurant, they can ask to leave. If you are rude to someone in a game, they can beat the stuffing out of your character. And if a Kano team member sees you behaving abusively towards other players in the Chat or on the Forums, we can take away your privileges to use those tools.
Your ability to communicate in these spaces is actually defined as a privilege, rather than a right. Privileges can be lost if abused, and your access to the World Chat is not related to your Freedom of Speech.
In summary, I would like to politely request that people not threaten us with lawsuits for "taking away their freedom of speech." If you are interested in learning more, I highly recommend a visit to your local library.
Cheers,
Aardvark
