The way we are currently thinking about it is that it will be a Battle Royale type thing, where X number of guilds/factions enter the ring and only one leaves. Points will be tallied on a per faction basis but we will likely track the points on a per player basis too so that it can be seen who is contributing the most in the group. Points can only be scored against other members of other groups in the wars.
I see this as simple..... the higher levels have far less players they can hit and cant hit the lowers unless hit first. All the lowers have to do is go after their much larger battle page who is involved in the wars and avoid hitting the larger levels. The higher levels will be stuck on the sidelines twiddling their thumbs much like they do now in every other aspect of the game. so basically it will come down to the levels with the bigger battle page of those participating...which is the lower levels. WEEEEEEEE! lol
Yes they would be able to as you can today for Gamer Points. I think there is already a cool down period for that.
A personal war scoring system I think would fall outside of this and would likely just be a fight to the death or something. I am not sure.
Maybe a cool thing would be to add a new rival list for Factions/Guilds. If a Member that is at war attacks someone in your faction, it could add them to that list and would be open for a limited number of attacks. Hmmm would have to think about that a bit but think that would be the best of both worlds and makes sense.
OK, sorry it took me so long to get back to this thread and add comments. But it has helped me think though this feature. So thanks for all the input and continued input. I think the Faction / Guild Rival list would be pretty cool, and if there were limits on # of attacks that an out of range player could take on someone in the rival clans list, it would be a win for higher level players and the lower level players wouldn't be overly attacked. I will have to give that one a bit more thought.
i understand your logic....but that would only make a difference if the lower levels actually opened themselves up to the higher levels. Higher levels do have much more money than the lowers, but they may very well be stuck listing only the mid to upper levels that have much higher bounties. In addition...if the lower level player is a "cash player" they still have access to all the cash and stamina they want....lol Much of this feature really does seem to hinge on how many guilds participate and which range of levels is in the majority
I think the whole idea behind guilds is to fill them with like minded players...this way they can choose to be passive and go "hidden" or be aggressive and partake in the wars
What about the idea of having a "Faction/Guild Rival" list? If you have a lower level in your guild and they get attacked, it would open that individual up to everyone in your Guild for 24-hrs or until all War Points are exhausted. I think that would be a fair way of opening up more players to higher levels.
At first glance....i really like the sounds of your new idea. Something like that could be implemented game wide as well.....this could go a looooong way towards deterring the "bullies". But to be fair maybe they shouldnt go up on that guild rival list until they hit your lower leveled guild member a few times....or what ever number of attacks is deemed excessive. But this could also be implemented if a rival guild bountied a fellow member
Very fair! At XXX & I'm sure at PIMP (and even PARA) our biggest problem is having guilds accepting a "War" request. Trust me, I've personally sent out over 70 (many to the same guilds) and only two have stayed as long-time rivals (props to them). Finally a third bit. 99% of the time it's denied. And out of the 7 that has accepted.. only 2 have lasted longer than a week. This will definitely create more action and give us the opportunity to attack those hit and hide guilds from well.... hiding.
Kendall, Also another suggestion with the "war" system coming SOON Re: Bounty. If a player (in a war guild) gets bounty attacked by ANYONE. This opens up the attacking individual (or even guild) to anyone within the guild (with the bountied player) to attack back immediately. That will definitely create another dimension. Don't want to overload you, but it's a thought....
Indeed. Then again, it opens me up to Jillian whacking me if I killed Erik The Avenger, but it would be worth it, for it would also open up POLISHPN II (the other one) if Besrkr was naive enough to hit me on bounty So, yes it could potentially be lots a fun.
the higher lvls are the ones that do the most listing and therefore that is their participation which means u will need an even build syn, i mean they already allow higher lvls to list those lil guys so why stop now and change it to let them fight those lil guys too?
i so far only see the higher lvl syns participating, but u never know what people will do once it goes into play first week...i think everyone may join if its a group thing, but after that we will see bc if all ur syn is doing is feeding points to the others then u'd prolly pull them after week 1 and not participate anymore unless u get some "higher lvl players"
