[ZS] Rivals changes and fixes!

    Rivals Updates have arrived folks, here are some of the highlights of changes that are going out today.
    • All rival data now uses persistent DB storage, in the future, any caching service maintenance will not result in loss of rivals data. When games resume they will be kept.
    • All rivals are accessible through a paginated interface. Click through to see the full list.
    • Hide/Show ability for rivals, allows you to clean up your list to focus on specific people if you desire.
    • Alerts (skull icon) now shows count of recent rivals.

    • responses now appear as they did before on the rivals page
    • skull icon alert cleared when visiting rivals page
    • last attacked time has been added
    • fixed sorting to order by last attacked

    Is there a reason they are showing out of order? The last person who attacked me isn't at the top.

    I don't remember exactly how it was phrased but the most used rival "floats to the top" something of that nature. In other words in theory the one you fight the most is at the top for easy access.

    The scrolling is kind of a pain. Can't use the roller ball on my mouse to make it work :(

    so you scroll and then have a more button as it stands. Personally would rather see one or the other either I scroll or I click more.

    Kind of miss easily seeing who is healed/attackable at a glance. Think I'd rather see the attackable at the top rather than most used or whatever it is you called it rival.

    That being said I'm pleased with this update. A few tweaks that may just be a personal choice.

    :) Thanks for a useful update. I LOVE the hide feature. I like to skip over rivals that only hit once off the list and I often wasn't paying enough attention and hit them anyway. So I really like that part.

    Well they stuffed that up then. Cause the person sitting at the top is someone who dropped me from squad this morning. It's the first time they have been on my rivals.

    Richie should be at the top and he is almost at the bottom.

    Also where it shows on a players profile, how many attacks they have on you, it would be good to show how many attacks you have on that player to. Not really rivals, but something i'd like to see.

    I agree with the how many attacks part. I hate trying to do it with the ambush feature since for instance I was listed 13 times in a row and punched a couple but no attacks. I can't see how many times I attacked that person because they haven't actually "attacked"

    Maybe start a thread in the ideas forum and post it in the feed so we can get a convo started?

    looked alright what i seen of it...an option to choose the order of your rivals would be good, stick all the idiots at the top ^_^

    I dont like the pop out attack bit though, it's why i never used the skull icon for rivals

    I don't like the pop out attack either, you cannot see your health or what is going on behind it, that is also why I never use the skull rivals. I would also like to be able to sort it how I like, I don't like it sorted by "most used rival" or whatever the term is. It also doesn't when the last attack, punch, etc. occurred as it did before. Also, why is there a flag alert now on the skull rivals, there is no need for this, I never click on the skull anyways why do I have to start now just to make the flag go away?

    You've actually made the rivals tab useless. So now I see someone attacked me because I got an alert (gee thanks) but I don't know who it was because you've sorted the rivals list in some random order you determined. I have to go to game history now to see who attacked me. And they were actually at the bottom of page 2 of my rivals list.

    Hmmm ok, I've decided I don't like it now after trying it out...

    Could we not have them placed in order of attack or something again?

    Level 1490 online now!
    13 attacks in 20 hours - The top of my rivals...hasn't attacked in about 5 hours

    Level 1140 online now!
    124 attacks,18 hitlist attacks,8 punches in 3 days - the very bottom of my rivals (after clicking for more 3 times) ...killed me just minutes ago

    DELTAN I think EVERYONE would like an explanation how this new rival list works, I never new there was a problem besides cache servers dying, now we get a new format to a fix?????

    well so far the biggest deterrent ive found is that it no longer shows when they attacked me and now i cant see when i am going to reset. they conveniently lost that bit of information, at least the way it was before, the rivals would drop off at 24 hours and you could see when you were going to reset, now that is gone, also i dont like the way it looks, cuz it looks identical to the skull, if i didnt like the skull before i did nt have to use it, now its like there is two of them....where did you get the input to make all these changes? is this something people have been asking for or is this something you thought might enhance play....when you dont evern play the game??? explain that to me oh obi wan?????

    We have a couple of quick fixes/changes coming out:

    • list will be ordered by most recent attacks like it was and should have been, looks like there is an issue with the sort function and we will get that sorted momentarily
    • we will add the response as it was previously for that page

    This was a fairly major back-end change so that if we do get cache server failures in the future rivals will not be reset.

    Please keep the ideas / suggestions coming and we will do our best to get improvements / fixes out as fast as possible.

    If it used to show total time since the attackers last attack, will add that to the short list to be re-added.

    what is the point of having the skull now that you have copied the contents of the skull page to rivals? with the exception of the heal button, they are identical, why not move the heal button and remove the skull?

    You can access it directly anywhere in the game without having to go to the rivals page.

    Any chance of having an option to revert back to the original rivals list? (like we can with inventory)

    I didnt use the skull link often, not because it wasnt useful, i know many people that used it...but because of the popout attack modal I like to be able to see my health and such ^_^
