Not for me, I was all health and stamina (literally). So high attack alone won't do any good as the problem is I am a punching bag for others, Some can attack me 50+ times without me healing, meaning 50 losses each time I heal with no chance of winning in retaliation. I can actually win in ambush now though, so atleast there was that change
There you go. As I stated, defense is worthless. If someone won't leave you alone, ambush and rig the heck out of them. Eventually, they will move on someone else because they'll get the hint and get tired of losing XP. And you can pad your win stats at the same time.
That is not my experience, health defense and crafting can keep them off , I do it all the time, just takes time and doing lots of coop bosses, adventures/jobs and asking for the right gifts to craft, that combination never fails
Piling up health significantly increases the damage you take and makes it easier for you to be killed. I have yet to win a fight (that I know of) because my defense is higher than an attacker's attack skill (without ambushing, where stats are irrelevant), so yes, defense is worthless. Crafting is too labor-intensive for me, so that's the only variable I haven't really explored. If you spend lots of time and in game cash crafting, I suppose you possibly overcome an attack-heavy player without high health that doesn't craft.
I am getting very close to a balanced build and I had always been heavier on defense , one think I know from others who go all attack, they give crap XP when ya hit them, it does not stop me from hitting them, but that is the only thing having low defense does, I craft, and now it is so easy with the new gifting feature...
