I like the no names during the arena
The Arena needs to be shortened not lengthened. And we already have Armada Wars for team play. Jettison sudden death and just have everyone fight it out till the last one stands. Keep the point system as that keeps out the turtles.
I personally do very well in BA on Kong. I don't think I have failed to be TOP 5 in any of them since the new BA format came out except on a few I was not in town to even play. I think I have won like three of them and been second more times than I can count. So the current BA works fine for me - I just wonder sometimes how fair it is. LOL
i like the idea of building strength through the kills and everyone starting with same att/def and health. A different type of arena wouldnt be bad id like to keep this one as it is and have a second that way people have choice of the one they prefer

I wonder if it would be worth running a competition, much like the gearjam contests, to come up with a new and improved BA.
That seems a bit useless unless Kano commits to implementing it. Otherwise it will just increase frustration.
I'm hoping they want to relook at it as it's in dire need of it.
The current BA on Kong has almost become a joke. Fewer people than ever sign up. Few play but those who do almost all play in the first 30-45 minutes of the 1st half. Out of like 330 players last BA ( I have the actual number written down but cannot find at the moment), only 134 scored 1 point or more. That means almost 2/3 did not even play. What that specifically means is ONLY 134 players actually did anything. I have made a small attempt to ask lower level players how many attacks would it take to get at least 10k points and the answer was 200 or so. So with that information, it seems fair to conclude that only 100 players actually do more than 250 or so attacks since #101 in the last BA on Kong was a score 12,997.
The participation cannot be something that Kano is happy with - but it will not change, at least on Kong, unless something changes to encourage players to participate. Oddly, I would have thought more people would just be signing up for the free exp even if not playing. But a lot won't even do that. Either that, or that is a good indication that the player base on Kong LCN is really that low!!!!! I would hate to think we only have a little more than 300 active players on Kong LCN!
yes less and less are signing up across all platforms and games kano seems stuck on the current way -there has been a ton of feedback on the arenas with many pros and cons from the original arena to the current arena.kano just seems set on leaving it the way it currently is.
I sign up for BA but many times I am one of the zero point participants. It comes down to the start time of BA. If I miss the start time by more than 10-15 minutes I am already dead. Once I respawn it seems all I find are defense enabled players and struggle to get decent points. All I end up being is point fodder for stronger players. Sudden death is the same thing; if I am not logged in right when it starts I am dead before I can get into the action. I like the game but I can't plan my life around it once every two weeks for BA. I basically get to participate in BA once every 3 months when my schedule and the BA time are in sync.
I find that if I play right at the start and get killed quickly, I can do 1 respawn and still have some non-defense players to hit. But after that it is hopeless. That is why the 8 hour wait to sudden death is rather silly, since nothing really happens for 6-7 of those 8 hours. That's why I have suggested starting sudden death after 2 hours or so, instead of 8.
I'm going to give it a try tonight and see if I like it anymore than I did when I last tried it.
also during sudden death the defensive mode needs adjusted if you go with 2 hr sudden death then defensive should only be allowed 10 minutes max go ahead and no penalty for switching on and off. Just if you hit the 10 minutes total it will be another 20 minutes for you to use it again. just a thought i do like the 2 hr sudden death since most points are scored before hand. I also think there should be a different bonus for those who fight and last the whole ba and place in the top 20, I dont think it is right if someone is active during most event and then at the end be last man standing and dont get the 1st place reward its a oxymoron just like jumbo shrimp

It's all down to the start time for me. If I can make it online I'll play for a couple of re-spawns, but after that it's hardly worth respawning I've found.
I think a tiered BA would make a lot of sense.
@Blue Nose : yes it would be very good, and it would permit everybody to have fun, and to have a chance to do a good result, if you fight hard! And "young"/new players would be encouraged to play too! Even if they have small totals / small stam, etc... They could compete between them. Even if it's honorific, im sure it would motivate them.
I still like the idea of a "Highlander" style - if you kill someone you gain their strength and power as well as health..... and throw in the idea everyone starts off equal, it would totally change BA. No one would have an advantage except for those who came late would suffer! LOL
