Memorial Tab on Leaderboard

I'd like to add a thought to this.

One thing I REALLY REALLY dislike about the current memorial system.....

for anyone new to the game, they show up on the fightlist the same way a banned account does. This is not cool.

Personally I'd like to see a better way to show the banned accounts. We ought to be able to punch and list the cheaters in the game.

Or Figure out how to Freeze the memorial ones so they aren't attackable but put a wreath over their icon. so folks can see them without attacking.

SOMETHING should sure change.

 

When I die I do not need to be memorialized , you all can keep killing me I do not feel a thing when ya do it now and I won't when I dead

 

Is there any word about the possibility of doing this Mi7ch?

 

i dont really see a need for this but apparently some do and im kinda surprised there has been nothing from kano either way on this issue....i know its a touchy subject but im sure most would agree that it needs to be at least addressed in some way

 

Seems like we are not giving them a choice.

I agree, some that have passed were not always the nice ones, I dislike them still even if they are dead, lol, the ones I like I am sure they would be laughing about getting attacked or killed, where ever they ended up lol it is not much different from clan catching each others bounty, now that I have a problem with

 

They are aware of it, but like most community ideas it is in a holding pattern for the time being. We'll be working on clearing some of these out soon.

*taps toe of boot on deck of ship* Well Mi7ch? The last word was in September. It is now November. What is soon? Soon to me is within a month. I'm an impatient type at times. Especially with new people joining the game and they haven't a clue about any of this. Can we possibly give the Dev's a bit of a push here?

 

Sorry I should have been more specific. We are working on clearing out community ideas, however there is a very long backlog and some people have been waiting a long time for their idea. We still have a few more long standing ones that I have been promising for a while (war achievements, anyone) that I would like to see put in the game. When I said "soon" I meant we'll start clearing out ideas, which we have. I don't have an ETA on if/when this particular idea will be worked on, but the queue has begun moving, so it's a start.

This is a list of known VC players passed away and as Kano has turned 7, it grew by two quickly.

I think it's time for you guys to memorialize the players that have made your games fun to play. As others have said there is no way of knowing the deceased from the banned, the quitters, and the voluntarily withdrawn. It sparked a controversy and lots of hurt feelings several days ago over one of these players where a fella did not know a player recently died. While controversy may be profitable, profiting from the deceased is rather vulgar.

The 16 here that should be removed and stuck somewhere to memorialize them for their friends and extended online families. End of story. For those that don't wish the treatment, tick a box somewhere ... easy solution.

 

Thank you Kel the Merciful King. I previously posted what I knew in PC because of the Memorial Gifts for them. Many people play more than one Kano game and I didn't have the knowledge of those in VC.
I do hope something can get moving here with Kano.

 

Okay New suggestion. On the main page right up at the top of the page you have Settings Invite Friends Leaderboard Forum News and Help. You can get rid of either Help since they can scroll to the bottom of the page and click contact support and see the whole knowledge database for their questions. Or you can get rid of Invite Friends since you can copy and paste your profile link from your profile to world chats. Either one of these two can be removed and put a Memorial Tab right up there with the fallen players and their custom item that was created in their honor in that tab for all to always see. That would be the simple and quickest solution to get this done.

 

We certainly don't consider hurt feelings to be profitable and I'm a little disappointed to think that some people would think we intentional engineer situations where that occurs.

I would like to remind everyone that we do currently have something in place for any players that people would like to be memorialized in the form of the special gifts that we make upon request. We can also prevent a player who has passed on's account from being auto-listed by the game if someone asks that of us.

However I understand that this is an important topic so I will see if I can get it pushed forward. Just wanted to remind you that we do currently have a system in place for something like this that is available via Support if anyone wants to inquire.

 

Mi7ch what everyone is asking is take their profile name and their memorial item and put it in the tab like i suggested remove it from the free gifts. Most people including new players will never know who these players were in the game. So this way when they see the gift and the name and in the memorial they will see something different from a gaming company that only a select handful on one hand i can count has ever done something like this.
