[All] Marketing ploy with Lottery

I've mentioned this before in a thread way back when Kano was asking for ways to get folks to join the game.

We all want the UN in the lottery. let's face it it's useful.

But one way to get the Kano brand out amongst the people would be to have a few actual gifts as prizes for the lottery.

a mug, a t-shirt what ever.

Wouldn't even have to be done very often. Just a random drawing every so often. Or could be here in the forums whichever.

Kano branded products can be pretty cheap with the various websites available out there for picture gifts.

Or if kano doesn't want to give out items that might actually be out of pocket expense instead of in game credit.

Mock up a few designs and offer them as a way to earn UN/FP whatever they are called wherever.

Already have a picture site that you can go purchase. How about a really nifty mug you go buy it and get 50 credits.

Whatever.

Something to toss around.

 

Could the items be virtual items for in game use? Different skins/outfits for characters just for lottery winners? Chance to pimp one item in your loadout, something like that maybe?

 

While that might be fun. I was actually thinking IRL advertising. Grow the Kano brand sort of thing.

but sure, that'd be fun. They already have the characters outfits why not add stuff like that or some random drops to it

I like this idea .... its speaks to the marketing/sales im educated in....but ....i doubt this will fly with Kano...After seeing that Kano/VC is celebrating a 6 yr anniversary and offered "FOR SALE" the Hexennial Golem instead of giving it away to their loyal players in VC...not much incentive for those who have stood by Kano and sunk in hundreds and thousands of REAL dollars in their game....had it not been for the loyal daily players there wouldnt be a 6 yr anniversary !

 

This is a great idea! Back when I was on Facebook, I played a silly game (kids talked me into it) called Happy Aquarium & would spend a little money every now & then to purchase special items. The makers surprised me with an e-mail, telling me that they were appreciative of my money spent & were going to send me a Happy Aquarium tee-shirt after learning of my size; and they did it! I was impressed and happy with both the tee-shirt & the game/company.

 

well if a company ever did that for me i would be real surprised lol and that would encourage people to spend more money in the game, shows that they care about the players

 

Kids talked you into it eh? You just wanted to look after Nemo - admit it! lol

 

Nemo was a starter fish, actually hahaha! They had all manner of fascinating creatures, & even some piratey stuff. Arrrrr

On Kong/Armor LCN a player actually won it twice. So it is more than possible.
