i think that the way it is now is fine, the only complaint that most have is that there just isnt enough characters to get the message you want across without either condensing your message or spitting it up between a couple posts
ok....im officially confused...why do we need all these different ways to communicate?? 1. Friend messages (normal in game feed) which has 6 diff filtering options where u can post a message, question, comment, link or code for free 2.Guild message board- post a message, question, comment, link or code for a guild member only for free 3. World boss feed- post a message, question, comment, link or code for every player in game for free 4. Private messages- post a message, question, comment, link or code to a single person only 5. Canned messages- talk smack or clan up with non clan for free 6. The world chat- post a message, question, comment, link or code for a price 7. the new "side chat"- post a message, question, comment, link or code to players you cant even identify(i know...your working on that) for free Is it just me or does all this seem a bit excessive? Why are we revamping the in game message feed? Do people still use it? What was the problem with it? The side chat is funky, in the way and doesnt do anything the other messaging methods dont do...why do we need this? The only problems I see with any of the ways of communication is..... 1. guild message board needs to allow for more characters per message. apparently thats a go...TY! 2. The canned message layout is not user friendly ....the way it was originally years ago was perfect and easy to use...dont know why it was changed Cant we just add another filter to the "friend messages" which allows us to post and see comments from everyone and get rid of the new "side chat"? And /or why not eliminate the canned messages altogether and give all players open lines of communications with one another? We could still block them if we wish. I dont know...It just seems like way to many diff ways of communicating and it kinda seems like a waste of Kanos precious time and resources when there is so much other stuff that needs attention.
The increased guild msg size is now live. With respect to the different messaging channels. Guilds can decide on how they want to communicate, but the Guild Chat would be a live messaging system. So Guild members that are online at the same time can discuss or share game events in realtime whereas guild messages can be used for persistent longer lasting messages. Example, if I am going to ask for help to take down a rival from my Guild I would likely want do that in Guild Chat, or announce that I would be putting up a rival on the hitlist there to get everyone's attention. Or even short back and forths, a quick question, etc... We have seen good improvement with the restructure of chat for Armor Games and are looking to bring that experience to all of the platforms to replace the current world/guild/group chat which has low engagement which we suspect is from the location and usability issues. This has been something that players have requested, especially on Facebook with the changes to their chat recently. Our games are social mmos and a good chat client is important.
ya i dont get that either TP i meen i believe they said before that it was put there to prevent spam messages but really in your armada feed why would you spam it, i dont see any reason. but in regular private messages i can understand about spam but there are verry easy ways to spam people an get around the min. 10 character rule. i agree it should be removed
