Counters Atacks

    ive already spent over 64k stams on counter attacks and you want to make it more? screw that, how about putting counters on the leaderboard or even achievements tailored for people that love to use them? allow more counters to be used as you gain levels instead of lowering them? you gain more rivals the longer you play so why make less available when more are needed? those are all much better points
     
  2. If this is the case than why arent the mods doing their job and deleting, editing and closing threads such as the comments by John Klad on the "delete notification of who killed who in the arena" thread?

    I think that through the years of trail and error, the way the counters are, is according my opinion fair, and should stay as they are...

    The idea here is that the cost of counters with regards to stamina should be raised.

    I use counters, not in wars mind you, but on an almost daily basis, to keep the really belligerent attackers off balance and wondering, are they still up, are they still there? Most times, they are? Do I want the cost to go from 2 to 3 stamina? I don't really care if it costs 1 more stamina, as it is only 30 all told, if they are used properly.

    A great many players, that you would use the counters on, are the sort that are looking for the quick experience that they get for attacking you and they would rather you hit them and so start a cycle. Maybe that idea is now so a vaunt garde that everyone is on the constant look out for level partners and they use the battle page to find the best suitable candidate. But whatever their reason, they don't want to expend a great deal of energy on someone that will just keep countering them over and over. It is a waste of their valuable time, usually this sort of confrontation ends with an axe slap to you and then they are off to discover more fertile territory ... & that is, as they say, is that. Unless you get someone in an already agitated mood and then they invite people to put the hurt on you ... then counters are a very good idea, cause, if your good with them, they can bring in some decent experience, and after the smoke clears, those people don't normally bother you anymore as there are better targets out there for them to play with, your just not worth their time or energy as people like this have a lot of people putting the hurt on them for past battles. Yes, I can see where a few good counters could bring you some peace of mind.

    Everyone's style is different, some use them to death, and some do not. I really do not believe raising the stamina cost by one will keep people from using them on a daily basis. I would continue to use them as they are needed, and actually would like to see more of them available to players, as there are factions that play that attack you all at once and while this might not keep you from doing adventures, collecting jackpots, doing calendars or anything that does not require health, it can be annoying. More counters as you level should have been the way to go, but I can actually see the logic of fewer counters available the higher your level. The higher you go, the fewer people you will be faced by, and those people that battle almost exclusively for experience or war points would be sorely put off by people constantly countering them. They would lose war points, they would be wasting valuable stamina trying to get some battle experience and then the only way for them to get battle experience would be to employ a level partner … so, nothing different there then.

    Counters are annoying to some for a reason, to others, they are the only real defense to attacks from people thousands of levels higher than them, or from walls, that have spent a great deal of time collecting items/weapons/warriors by doing boss battles and so there is no way to beat them, other than a counter. If not for counters, some people would be attacking you until the proverbial cows came home, & there wouldn't be much that you could do to them as they might be way out of your bounty range(can't afford to bounty) and you cannot beat them in a battle so .. you'd be stuck getting a constant beating.

    Leave the counters as is, or add some to them, I guess 20 is too much to hope for. & even if they were to cost one more stamina, I would still pay it to be able to use them.

  6. Counters are a successful game strategy, I use them judiciously myself, sometimes with rather interesting results and am not interested having the cost of them increased. Here's a thought though, for those who wish to bounty hand over fist how about we incrementally increase the stamina used on bounties? Might stop some of the megalomaniacs we have running around the game killing everyone in (and out) of sight. Imagine, oh, that persons cost is now 208t, but heck they've been bountied 15 times today so it's going to cost me thirty stamina to do it....might make a few pull their heads in :eek:
