    Someone should talk to FaceBook about friend request banning.......I bought credits for both Pirate and Viking clans and than 2 friend requests later I was banned from requesting friends for 14 days....If you guys wanna make any money on the website for the priveledges offered than someone better have a chat with one of the idiots there... This is twice now for me and there's no reason for it.

    I will never buy anymore credits for these apps on facebook.....Love the game but can't handle the facebook BS

    Stats I am talking about are winning and loosing, not attack, etc. But this does give one more reason to stack up on attack points.
    I would like to see this be a truly separate part of the game, just like if you go on vacation, you are not home. Once you go to battle arena, you are not in the regular game. If you are in battle arena, your enemies gang up on you in regular game, then you can't heal to prevent death or quickly add more counters. For this reason, I would like to see the player in battle arena removed from the regular game or blocked from all attacks there. I also do not want to see the battle arena have a hospital. When Kano came out with the Cage Match (or other one on one attack) it was to be a fight to the death, but the hospital rules still applied so it was never a fight to the death, it was a fight to the hospital.
    I know of more than I can count on all my digits of players with multiple accounts that are higher than 1000. Lets say you have 3 players, either your own or you have log in info for them, in battle arena. It would be real easy to gang up on one strong player to defeat them and give you a better chance of winning the battle arena or at least get a higher ranking. You can log in on the same computer in different browsers simultaneously. This is why the single IP rule should apply.

    IP are unique so multiple computers in the same room will have different IP addresses. While the same family may have one computer and multiple players, it would be improbable for each family member to be logged in to the game at the same time. It would be more likely that each member would be on a different computer. If both computers were given the same IP then they would not be able to access the internet. This would be like two houses having the same phone number (unless you are old enough to remember party lines). If you wanted to go a layer deeper, you could restrict MAC Addresses, but I believe the current form of checking is with IPs so that is why that was suggested (so that no new programming would be needed).
    If the situation was truly a one computer family simultaneously playing the same game with multiple people then it would show up in the history as that, but if instead all of a sudden the same computer is being used for multiple players at the same time then that is when it should be blocked and all accounts should be warned or frozen for a period of time.
    This kind of checking has prevented this problem in the past, but some players continue to do this. Some new players have not experienced this yet and may be tempted to create multiple accounts to help them advance through the game.

    There is chance but does take into account the max health / attack / defense of your character and your total inventory, so those that have higher values will have higher chance to win but won't win all the time as the current battle mechanic, this allows us to open up attack limits completely.

    High level, say your total of attack points is 1000 and you attack someone that has a total defense of 500, you will roll between 1-1000 for you attack and he will roll between 1-500, roll = random selection, so say you roll 200 and the defender rolls 400 you lose, if you roll 600 and they roll 200 you win.

    One piece of feedback we get is to open up rivals, the only way we can really do that is by changing up the mechanic of battles so that lower levels will have chance against higher levels. After Guild Wars players gave feedback on seeing a individual competition / arena.

    Do you have any suggestions on how this could be improved?

    The buy-in will be based on both level and income, so it should be very substantial :)

    Yes you can still be attacked. Once you enter the arena, you will have an "arena health" so once in the arena there is no hiding in the hospital, etc.

    There will likely be separate arena win/loss stats.

    You hit on a pretty good internal "argument" we had when discussing this idea, one side of the fence was to have it occur frequently, another side of the fence was to have it at set time intervals to keep it as a "special" event. We can adjust and make other event types depending on the popularity, if popular we will definitely look to make more frequent.

    1. Not defined, but would think that you would not want to attack your squad, although it would open up rivals more. What does everyone thing? Squad could be open for attacks but they would be clearly defined.

    Yep, if this is successful it can branch out to other aspects including guild vs. guild arena.

    Play is separate and because it will not be available all the time it should not impact the regular battle mechanics, you can enter the arena without having to attack etc. This was one of our concerns, we want to add to the game without reducing activity in other parts, it will be a balance.

    I agree with Bubba....There should only be one IP address allowed in a "arena" competition at a time. I understand that this may exclude a small number of players that share a single computer but its a small price to pay to help keep the alts out. players using the same computer can simply learn to share and enter the competition on an alternating basis. A single IP address wount Keep every alt out....but would definitely help keep the less computer savy players alts out.

    Whats up Kendall....I asked numerous questions. should i try 1 at a time? Why would the entry fee depend on ones income? This would be anything but fair because others would have more to win. Income also does not reflect the power of ones account, in fact if a player has a high upkeep (lots of legendary crap) they may very well have a powerful account and little income.

    Disclaimer: We haven't finalized the feature but here are some early answers... They are subject to change.

    1) We haven't finalized the cost to participate but we are leaning towards putting a cost to join based on a player’s level instead of income.

    2) We want to make items you arm count more towards your attack and defence rolls. If you have very powerful items armed they will count more towards your roll in comparison to other items. This will be explained in detail when we release an example of how the battles will work.

    3) I can assure you players with the best battle stats will on average hit for more damage than someone with lower stats.

    4) Because the damage you do is random I can only talk in averages. On average you will do more damage to a player with low defence in comparison to a player with high defence.

    5) We haven’t cemented how the health will work but I can assure you if you have a lot of health you will be able to take more attacks and hopefully last longer in the Battle Arena then someone with a low amount of health.

    6) There are no limits on who you can attack, feel free to attack the same player over and over until they lose all their Battle Arena health and lose.

    7) There is nothing preventing people from tag teaming others.

    8) When you attack a player you will deal damage from your attack in comparison to their defence roll. At the same time the defending player will deal damage to you they will roll their attack value and that will be compared to your defence roll. The other player doesn’t need to be online for a battle to take place. Once you attack a player the results are spit out right away and you are free to attack another player without interruption.

    9) You will be able to attack EVERYONE in the arena, there is no teams for Battle Arena- Survivor. *If we release another Battle Arena in the future perhaps players will be on teams and the battle list will not contain their friends.

    10) We haven’t determined how long the competition will be but we are hoping it lasts 2 or 3 days. *This may change.

    11) This is a system you opt into, it is an independent system like boss battles. You can fight bosses whenever they are available but you are free to do everything else too.

    12) I’m not sure about this one, perhaps you can only see the health when you attack them. *More thought is needed
