Cheers for replying on all issues (not that common when dealing with support systems, so it's genuine appreciation).
1. Good. Been long overdue. I've more or less stopped doing anything in LCN because of the lack of new location, BA and raid changes.
2. "This subject has not come up recently in our talks..." This one I find quite odd, considering the pretty much damning feedback you have received since the changes were implemented. Guess the feedback from the players aren't the most important thing, eh? Especially considering those who found it an easy way to waste loads of cash has probably made you ignore the feedback. I don't know how many times it needs to be stated, but the BA's are completely ruined. Not that you won't get people spending, nor joining, it's just not fun anymore. Why not add a clicker option so people can legally let the computer do the work while at the same you would challenge the player to hit refill stamina in the right time (manually of course)? Atleast then you would still get the cash while the experience would be pretty much the same. Sure, the same 2-3 players would win each time if you change it back, but atleast it was based on skill allocation, strategy and quick thinking. Why did you change it all? Surely it wasn't based on players' feedback? I will never play BA again with the current state of it. Ehm, not entirely true as I sometimes join the odd one (maybe 1 in 10?) when I find myself with too much stam and nothing else to waste it on. Haven't played one in a few months, though. And I refuse to refill stam for it.
Perhaps that was poor wording on my part, but please don't mistake "haven't talked about it recently" to being the same thing as ignorant of it. Feedback from players is always the most important thing, however much it may not seem like it at any given time. As we are doing with the Raid Bosses, we are also keeping a watch on various aspects of the Battle Arena. Redoing or making adjustments the Battle Arena is not completely off the table for us.
3. "Still no ETA". Whoa, what a surprise. Considering that has been the main feedback since Raid #2 I do find that a bit rude. Atleast tell us that you don't care what we say, instead of saying "it's in the works with no ETA date" each time the subject is brought up. I will not spend anything on raids until you change it.
Sorry that you find my response rude, but this change is a problematic from a development standpoint. I've asked in the past for permission to spell out exactly what is holding this up and I'll ask again. You guys certainly deserve an explanation that isn't the usual stuff.
4. Haven't really paid attention to it as I don't think this will affect anyone but the heavy levellers and even then it won't matter much.
MY OWN:
5. Old GF items vs. new ones. This one irks me a bit. You have promised several times now (over a period of 1,5 years) that you will be looking into upgrading old GF items that are starting to get useless or have significantly less value than when they were purchased. Please note that this will not help me much, in fact, it will probably make me weaker against most in my range, but this has been way more overdue than a new city. What annoys me is that you have promised to fix it ("look into it") several times but now, after almost two years, the only fix you have come up with is "trade your old items in for a 20% GF refund". To be honest that is an absolute insult to your long-standing loyal players. Please stop with this charade. Like I said this doesn't concern me that much as I barely bought any items the first two years (bought a few the next couple of years but no bigger quantity than 10 each time) but we really need some parity here or you will lose your longest-serving players.
The nice thing about a live game that is constantly changing is that you have a lot of different options when it comes to dealing with issues such as this. Increasing Limited item stats is something that we have done in the past and we have recently explored several other options (the trade in you're referencing is just one of them). The return on increasing Limited items will run out eventually and we're exploring alternatives that have a longer and more beneficial tail right now. If those don't pan out, then a Limited stat increase is a card that we can play. I know that seems like the easiest solution in the short term, but right now we're looking at systems that will be a bit more helpful in the long run. Again if that doesn't work then a Limited stat increase is the most viable alternative.
6. The new loyalty items. What's funny here is that this was a pretty straightforward operation, yet you managed to completely cock it up. All you had to do was to increase the strength of the previous loyalty items. And since you insisted on releasing new ones, that could easily be sorted with giving the new and old items equal strength. But noooooo, you had to come up with a way to piss off the community didn't you? Whilst us veteran players just loooooove to be shown the middle-finger from Kano once in a while, this last change was a blow way below the belt. In fact, it has probably made me lose all faith in Kano. It's easy to understand decisions being influenced by potential $$$-flow but this was nothing else the than a big feck you to those stupid enough to fund Kano during the first 5 years.
I wasn't here when this change was rolled out, but what was said before we started moving on this was that old Loyalty items would be made relevant with the current game. I apologize that the result that came out of that was different than the expectation. I'm asking around about a potential bump again for the old Loyalty items to get them a bit closer to the current ones than they currently are.
