I usually just have strongest overall loadout on while playing. I'll switch to strongest attack if I can too fight and the only time I use defense...
I don't really pay much though to the names of people I want to attack. if I really need to attack them I will do so no matter where the attack...
It would be nice to upgrade the unused fight drops even if they just add elites and optimal versions are the items.
I would suggest getting rid of the items on gift list that aren't being used for crafting or jobs.
