I am sorry this just sounds a lot like control issues, kano has said people can put skills wherever they want, and already limited that in many ways.
if stats dont matter why worry if someones pirate is stronger then yours? why be concerned about someone winning in a cagematch?

because it works with battles to get the kill, and gives you a idea of your opponents skill placement, its actually very useful
I have always enjoyed caging, even as low limited number they are. maybe with the new interest in caging we should get new achieves for caging???
Truly the proposal would not stop fighting, or retaliation, it would only further limit ABUSE in many forms
