First, you may want to increase your stamina if your goal is to level. At level 500's, 170 energy is a tad low. Try to get at least 3-4 high...
They also cost 25 favor point each. 3 for 75. I think Black Grim wanted to know about the legendary weapons/warriors, which cost NO favor...

Each of your Chieftains can take 10 Warriors and 5 Weapons into a Battle. Therefore, I would assume you have 8 chieftains? If you do, 40 weapons...
General statement: Counter attacks and Bounty traps are part of the game. Like buying favor points, etc. Everyone has a reason for using it....
