lol 2500 fp pr player (of those 400) is apparently enough to destabilize the game. I think we now know that the cap on fp purchase needs to be lower than 2500

Sadly this situation is lose lose and there is no way to remedy it and keep everyone happy. There's those moaning because they didn't get to use the mistake and those moaning because they did but want it to stand. Arguably in any other industry than click games a vendor would have to uphold what they offered. However it's understandable why they don't want to do that and if they did it would for sure annoy those that didn't get to take part, and not surprisingly so.

So, a suggestion and still not a perfect one but the closest you'll come making all happy. Give everyone something! Pay out 200 FP across the board, which wouldn't 'unbalance' the game but would at least shut the majority up and create happy feelings as everyone enjoys their small bonus. Anyway, it's hard to imagine you doing this but I think it's the closest you'll get to solving the mess.

sounds great in theory, but what about all the favor points they took that were paid for with real cash and the real favor points used. it is a sh itshow for sure

Also Mi7ch, please explain how this loophole is worse than the months (if not years) you let players run as many challenges at the same time as they wanted. Or your absence in removing alts from sw, meaning syncs win 50*25= half a destabilizing value pr sw. How auto-leveling has allowed players to gain at least 5k levels for free and so forth. I don't really get the difference?

Actually, why has nothing ever been done about the bots and cheats that ruin the game, and yet you take FPs off everyone for your mistake?

i think i have had enough of it ....1 million fp,s seriously ...and only 400 players, if you care anything for any of the players involved, then you will accept that it was YOU who made the error ...and should take the hit .....if i buy a sandwich and get food poisoning, the person who sold the sandwich ..cannot re-compensate himself because i ate it , no ...it is me that that gets to decide if i take action, i have done nothing to kano...only what they provided me with ....there was no indication that it was exploitation as you describe it, just an action that you provided me with , and now you want to punish us ....you get to decide where my stats will be , it just is not fair , it does not matter , how you look at it , it is just not fair , you cannot be seriously considering losing some of your spending players, over a mistake of your doing ????

I think it is hilarious all the posts that think somehow people should be allowed to keep the 1 million fps..... it was obviously a mistake as only a fool would have believed an endless loop was Kano's intention. I think the only ones really whining about it are the ones who are going to have their "unfair" advantage removed.

Earlier I brought up a middle ground proposal (that no one will probably like). Since the intention was to use extra tokens and the higher levels can't get any benefit at all from this junk purchase, I suggested that you allow the ones who used the pawn shop to have traded in up to some amount (say 50 trades). This would be a maximum of 250 tokens for these 400 players, which would not be destabilizing. That's less than a $50 purchase gets a player. The game is not destabilized and the players that took advantage of this opportunity get a limited benefit.

Mitch, do you want to address doing something for these 400 players who are in the long-term player category ???

Nothing has been done for long term players for years. Not going to change now.

So, *that's* why the 1 little cologne I "bought" with my 1 raid token didn't show up as eligible for me to sell back. Nor can I sell back any other of my limited time items that I can't use. I don't think full mob should be a requirement for Pawn Shop. If my mob can't use the item, it should be trade worthy. You can easily calculate if the player had full mob would that item be in use.

    Thanks.

Why not roll it back and redo raids? how are you going to recoup loot bought and stam and energy refills that gained skill points? Seems that the ones with spare FP's are at a disadvantage here now?

This kinda mistake is like an unplanned pregnancy... your royally screwed long time

    Kano,

"oops, my bad" is your best answer? You don't care about your customers, only the bottom line.

The benefit for those who took advantage of the "Cologne Wars" is much less than you think. People did 15X, 20X, or more damage on each Raid Boss, which means they received far less Raid loot than if they had applied the same resources to 15X, 20X, or more Raid Bosses. People changed their strategy to incur these losses because the FPs from the Cologne buyback made it equitable for them to do so. Removing items that players bought using these FPs without compensating them for the lost opportunity of substantially more Raid Loot is inequitable. Under Kano's current proposal, the disadvantage for a player who leveled 500 times during the Cologne Wars would be so extreme that the player might as well walk away and start over.

Kano probably won't understand this as the response I received today reflects this exactly. They have no clue on doing what's right.

For those of you that still don't understand how bad this oversight was, it meant that some players levelled and gained FPs indefinitely. For those who had a combined total of more than 4-5k Energy+Stamina, they could gain 5 tokens, buy 5 cologne, sell them back for 25 FPs, use 20 FP for refills and have 5 FP left over then repeat. This would allow them to accrue FPs and level consistently. The higher your combined Stamina+Energy, the more FP profit made. If I had done with 12k stats, I could have made 50 FPs every 5 minutes or less for the best part of 4 days (not withstanding using the boost function) and made 20k-50k+ FPS (possibly double/triple that), level thousands of times (more FPs and skill points) and get hundreds of raid drop items from opening my own raids and completing the associated achievements (more skill points). Some players did this. The benefit from levelling XP, skill points and drop items was not as far as I am aware removed so they retained a large benefit from this glitch anyway.
There is also the fact that those taking advantage would also have done excess actions in raids, helping others complete them and get drops so other also benefited from this without noticing. I could go on about other unseen benefits which will remain unadjusted but understand why they will not be as it gets really completed with compounded play actions.

I don't get why you removed my post about, how this issue you made with pawn shop is worse than for example "run all challenges" for months and gain fp from it without you wanting something back from those players? They got a lot of gear and fp from it. That never seemed to be a problem

I would also like to know why you removed the post about auto leveling not being as bad. When some players have gained over 5k levels from it, 25k sp, access to cities/challenges so forth, boss drops without kano stopping it. It is still just as doable?
