    Hey folks,

For the next Raid Boss in June, the developers will be increasing the XP payed out per action on the Raid Bosses to make it more in line with what players in Viking Clan and Pirate Clan experience (people who dabble in those games know it feels quicker to level up over there). While the Raid Boss currently offers some of the best XP in the game, we've definitely heard you when you say that the effort put in and the rewards payed out do not feel very rewarding.

So we will be running a test on the XP next Raid Boss. What I need you to do is let me know how the XP gain feels compared to the previous runs. Does it feel appropriate for what you're doing, are you gaining levels at a decent pace, things like that. We are definitely open to adjusting is as need be based on feedback. So June 11 when the Raid Boss returns, try it out and let us know what you think. :)

Can we get a god father points sale to soften the out of pocket cost of participation? Perhaps a %50 bonus in points for all dollar value purchases.

Perhaps the next raid can have an individual entrance limit. I saw what seemed to be the highest fail rate so far of all raids this time, and a lot of the same names. I myself jumped on a lot of wars. I worked on as many as I could and was sure to get at least 2000 actions after the first color change or 2 of the overall Heath. However if a war was still green after 24-48 hrs, it probably wasn't going to finish, so why invest. However, if an individual was limited to being in no more than say 10 raids at any one time, many players wouldn't be spread so thin, players would think twice before jumping in any random war posted on the feed, more players who want to play but always seem to be left out would have available slots in their level tier, and perhaps the overall success rate would increase as well. I know this does limit some players who do help a good number of wars, but there are a lot of leeches that would be stopped as well. Thoughts?
As for xp, I think it's fine for ~1300 lvl player in my opinion. As for incentive, perhaps more than 1 item could be awarded, or after receiving 2 or 3 or 5 of the same common item it could be workshopped into the superior version. Or after collecting all 6 items in each tier an ultimate and apocalyptic item is awarded.

Thank you mitch I cant wait to see the xp increase :) as for limits i would like to see 10 at any given time when 1 is beaten you may add another in that spot, I for one am the type that joins many and most time do get min. when i join or go back at later time but I agree this would stop the spreading out to thin, and hope to put more focus on specific raids. Thanks tho for taking time to up the xp and ask for our help.

I am/was one of the players that entered 40-60 raids per raid boss period. I do not think limiting someone to a certain number of raids is appropriate, I have to disagree with it. What needs to happen is better player responsibility. Jumping in a bunch of raids and only doing 2000 actions is disgraceful unless your lvl 1000 or bellow. I watch BigNtasty, an above lvl 3000 player do that. You will see him in 40 raids, only doing 2k in actions, or sometimes even less. This wastes one of the most valuable positions in the raid. Its common knowledge since everyone above lvl 3k needs to do most of the work, which means performing 20-30 million in damage and covering the heal expense in every raid entered, anything less is a deadbeat leach hoping to bonus off of the hard work of everyone else.

Be selective on who you invite, and which raids you enter. Also, if you see BignTasty in the raid, avoid entering that one. :)

I am still of the mindset that im not doing the raids anymore, at least not more than one. If the XP increase is worth the investment, I'd reconsider but time will tell. To that end, I do have a core raid boss team in development, 6-7 on board that can do 20-30 mill in damage on every boss entry. If your interested in being part of that team, (if we continue to play the raids), hit me up in a mobwars message (kanoplay server only) It would be awesome to have 15 dependable, money spending people to enter these raids together. I also have group of people with accounts less than 1k that can fill the bottem tear, do their 2k min. FOOD FOR THOUGHT!

This time out I decided to test the drop ratio and again I believe random awards a shite and have to be changed. I have 4 superior to 24 common!

Again, I think that those that contribute the most should be rewarded. Superior items should be awarded to the top 10 in each raid at a minimum. I mean it is stupid to spend stam and energy for a common item. I might as well just do the minimum since the reward is not worth the gf. Buying items is cheaper than participating in raids !!!

Ok that's cool, good for guys who start to play today so they can lvl up decently and dont quit cuz its too hard to lvl.
Of course u will understand that ppl who already spent thousands of bucks on raids will now ask: can i get a refund that makes up for the exp i missed out while doing all those raids in the past?

Just a refund for the cash that has been spent on raids, not for all the freeloaders who didnt buy stam/energy refills.

Is that possible? Especially since i've been telling to up the exp back in NOVEMBER.

if i dont get refund then i wish i had never bought those refills and waited until now. certainly a lesson learned if thats the case.

Not Sure why Kano can't just make the XP decent to start with ... As with any new features with this game it always feels like Kano is trying to squeeze every last dollar out of it's ''customers'' .
The rate of XP is terrible i agree ... Not only is it terrible but the amount of energy needed has increased also.Energy drops when healing a boss have decreased also . Healing a raid should also give the same XP as attacking , not 1/8th of the attacking XP... Without healers no one can attack the raid.
Something needs to be done about the weapon rewards ... The rate of superior drops has decreased dramatically.
Also how is it fair for someone to spend $50 or more to help kill a raid boss and then get the same reward as someone who has spent nothing ??????? Without spenders no raids would die because Kano have made them impossible to kill for free or with very little spent .... Its very obviously a money grab .... Kano , show some goodwill towards your players please as it seems all changes made to this game are purely for profit making and not for the ''community'' who have helped you make this the game what it is ...

The raids this time sucked. I spent a lot of money on GF and I got 30 regular and 6 sups on drop plus the raids were a lot harder to kill. I would have been better off buying items on sale for the money that I spent even though I did gain some levels but it was definatly not worth it. I spent $200 both raids so unless something changes I wont be doing that again.

Good idea. While you're at it, work on better rewards for Syndicate Wars

Really not a good idea. The problem is not players being in many raids, it is CERTAIN players not doing anything at all and only poach. I have a better solution for it in the idea section. http://forums.kanoapps.com/threads/raid-suggestions.15484/

Yeah, sounds great and all that players asked for..... I hope that this is not going to be the same Viking Clan experience, that after a few months of easy, high speed leveling with the raid boss (1000-2000-3000 lvls in one month) many old and loyal players have lost their interest in the game and now they barely play a few mins a day.

Further to my previous post ..... Why is it that Kano are eager to tell us when changes to the game will benefit us... BUT FAIL to inform us when they have ''tweaked'' the game in their favour thus costing us more real $ cash ???
The issue is not that you make changes to the game , the issue is when you fail to tell us that changes you have made will cost us more for a worse result .... You then fail to compensate for that loss ... Seems very ''deceptive'' to me and not what i would call ''fair business practice''
This has been going on for years and obviously falls on deaf ears ......

we started to complain about the xp back in the first raid event. no one at kano listened to us. now, you're telling us they agree with us, and realize how disproportionate the XP is here compared to allllllllllllll the other games they have.... and everyone who has spent on previous raids wasn't contacted by email to inform us that an error was made, and this is how we intend to compensate you....??? only an.... ok... we're upping NEXT raid...? while you ( collective 'kano' you ) had the nerve to increase how many heals were needed per barrage run ???

really..... really..... just bad.... so bad...

i think you should introduce a barier of min damage for the common weapon and a higher damage for the superior one ... i know i attack a raid for XP and finally for the rewards, but it`s dissapoiting when you do a 50 mil damage and get a common and someone does 4 mil and gets superior ..in a way isn`t always for the XP, some of us just enter for the rewards...

This post is not about raid xp, but this is the closest thread to my issue... The type of item received when a raid boss is defeated should not be completely random. It's completely unfair that some players consistently do 10000+ actions on raid bosses, and at the end of the season have 1 or 2 superior items out of 10-20 total items when there are players who consistently do the minimum action requirement and have 5 or 6 superior items. There should be some sort of scale... For example, perhaps doing 2000-4000 actions gives a 5% chance at a superior item, and then 4001-7500 actions gives a 10% chance, and then 7501- 11500 actions gives a 15% chance, and so on... the current system is unfair, and as a player that spends money (which is what kano wants) I can say that I won't be spending as much money on raids until the drop system is changed. Please post something if you agree.
