Suspicious amount of account reporting ..........

Can't you guys play.......so you have to hurt people by having their accounts suspended??
Take the game too seriously.......MUCH??

 

Oh you mean like people hoping that the people playing those accounts suffer bodily harm, and or die?

Like making racist and bigoted statements in the game feed because somebody beat them?

Like making faction with names they think are cool, but are actually derogatory toward groups of people, ie homosexuals, middle easterners, native americans, hispanics, ect and so forth?

What ever should be done about those people spreading such venomous hate over something so trivial.... OH I KNOW WE CAN REPORT THEIR ACCOUNTS!!!

Such things run rampant on Myspace, and frankly, when the game is set up so that the richest account wins, what would you expect somebody to do when confronted with such vile and disgusting behavior that obviously has no place in any game or public media?

 

I agree with you on every count.......offensive people should have their accounts taken off them, there's no place in ANY game for racist or bigotted people.... for sure.
But what about innocent people having their accounts suspended out of pure malice??

Surely that isn't right?

 

I don't know the Kano Procedures on such things, so I'll just state what I'd do and hope it's similar to what Kano does.

Upon an account getting reported, likely it needs to be reported several times probably around 10-30 times. I have a CSR (Customer Service Representative) check into the reported account. either a SQL search for unusual patterns of attacks (always attacking same account(s) at same time intervals, with identical time delays between them ect and so forth) Or check their public/guild feed history, deleted and current, for the harrassing material.

If the investigation showed nothing untowards I'd flag the reporting accounts to be sure they are separate individuals and not a single person with several accounts, most likely by checking the IP the report was made from.

Course this all takes time and well, time is money.

 

even if its from the same IP that dont prove a thing.and far as the time delay being identical every single time maybe 2 are sharing same comp and 1 gets points done first then the other one.multi accounts is extremely hard to prove sorry to say.


and if accounts are getting frozen purely by just getting reported alot without them even coming from same IP then that is a serious issue and is poor service.

but even if its coming from the same IP,then from what i just mentioned it can get explained.

I would really appreciate KANO's view on this....

 

We investigate every account that is sent into support. But just because it is reported doesn't mean that it gets frozen. We look into many aspects of a players account before we take any action. If an account has been frozen and the player feels that it was done without reason, they can send us a message and we can re-investigate.

It's nice to know there is some recourse if your account is maliciously reported.
I can't imagine how it must feel to have that happen...to just be happily playing away and then BOOM....

I'm glad to hear those words coming from you girls, I hope you act the same way too, heard many rumors that one of your guys is gonna try to report a member who left your faction and joined ours as an alt just because we help that member on a fight against one of yours.

I don't mind if someone hates me in the game, you can list me 50 or 100 times in a row, I'd really want to get you back, that's for sure, but would be ok in the end since it's part of the game. I just want things to stay in the game if possible, not asking for unnecesary bans and stuff.

But anyway, all rumors so far. Should any of those be confirmed, some people will feel my Pixel-wrath <3

I got suspended for 7 days for telling someone in the feed i would "kick their ass." And I meant IN GAME i would kick their ass, not real life.

People report like mad on MySpace too. It's honestly pathetic unless there is a serious gripe about being a racist or any of the like.

But people are report happy...get a damn life, play the game. People are so sensitive and want everything to be politically correct, well that sure as hell isn't going to happen. So people need to buck up and get with it and stop being BABIES about stuff all the time. Grow a pair and fight back--or go play Farmville or Fashion Wars lol

 

You know what it is? The lot of them can't bare / don't dare to let me catch up with them in level.
