There is always a certain gap between spenders and non-spenders. Anytime that gap changes, it will either anger free players or paying players.

I agree entirely. The game isnt abiut speed leveling. Its a player v player game. That highlights why raids cause a problem.
I have heard numerous people say dont level too quickly because it will make you weak. Sorry but that statement doesnt make any sense to me. With the high level city drops; let us say from tangier onwards you wont get a boss drop with better stats. In fact its only realy when you reach seoul that the crafting and job drops add to your character strength.
Then again leveling gives you more skill points so of course that would make you stronger. Now with the Raids you are getting both a weapon etc and xp quickly.
The great thing about lcn was that there were no crazy levels. The highest being 12k. With raids this will soon be reach by many others. Then tue devs will be under pressure to make more new cities jobs etc and like the original mobwars the gab between the huge levels and lower levels will kill the game.its happened over and over again in games.

I agree that kano is a business and it needs to develope and profit. But to do so for a short term gain as opposed to long term goal is a poor business model i think. To allow unrestrictd leveling is counter productive. And i believe kano appreciated this point when they put a cap on the number of attacks on a leveling partner. Raids, which i like very much mind you go against the very tenor of the game....player v player

I do not 100% agree that higher levels ruin the game as most higher levels cannot even touch lower levels and both players live in two separate worlds unless the lower level decides to attack or punch the higher level. The game is designed to level and leveling is very important to the game..... not just getting stronger while staying at the same level. Every city allows for a player to get stronger with the job drops, new bosses, and even the new property investments as well as the 500 energy per level. A business does NOT succeed by finding new customers and getting rid of the old but rather finding a way to keep the regulars involved as well as recruiting new customers. RAIDS have allowed an advantage that higher levels cannot duplicate. Players who spent for arming have had to upgrade on a regular basis and took a long time reaching certain level thresholds. Now, lower levels who everyone often talks about who are at a disadvantage are actually very much the opposite. Lower levels for the same 30 fps can buy limited items for arming that are the best available without the need to spend for years to match what higher levels now have. Higher level bosses are available to most everyone where as higher levels at those lower levels never had a chance to get and get stronger while lower levels --- these higher levels paved the way and made it possible for lower levels (both new players and players who like hanging out at the same level forever) the opportunity to "fill up" on boss drops they haven't even reached the city yet. Higher levels put out the huge bounties that lower levels with a bit of luck and perseverance can get rich off of when the higher levels had to work and take forever to get to those kinds of income levels.....

For those who think that higher levels have it easy, please guess again. As the game changes, lower players with the same amount of investments in a particular month can soon catch the higher levels as there are so many more opportunities available than higher levels ever had. A lower level participating in RAIDS can gain 400-500 levels while a higher level may only gain 100-200. And that lower level already has the income and boss drops to make them a formidable opponent long ahead of the schedule of the higher level. My $500 or $1000 I spent a year ago does very little compared to what it buys a new player today. When I bought those 200 items at 30 fp's I was lucky to get 170 attack and 60 defense. Now the 200 items a new player invested in gets them 430 attack and 200 defense. That is double my attack per dollar and triple the defense.

I realize that for the FREE player, much of this does not apply.... however, this may be a FREE game but that is your choice if you choose not to spend. This game was designed to let everyone participate but those who spend will always have the advantage both on Kong and in the real world. And with that in mind, maybe it would be better if leveling was easier to do and more of a reward for doing it..... then the spenders could level past the non-spenders. Why would this be a good thing? HIGHER levels cannot attack down therefore, lower level "free players" would have a little more "protection" from higher levels who have spent and will always be stronger.

Kano is a business. And if Kano made exp better for higher levels in both RAIDS, bosses, and fight exp, I would have to believe players who are prone to spend, would spend more on stamina refills for more RAIDS, bosses, and leveling in fights. And this also helps lower levels who ride along on RAIDS with just the minimum while higher levels and spenders do all the work.

I think what people mean when they say this is that it will make you weak in comparison to the other people at your same level. Of course, if you comparing to a low level player, the fast leveler will be strong but, so what? They can't fight those players any more because they have leveled past them. From a pvp stand point, if you level up fast (unless you spend on gear) you are probably going to find yourself in a world of hurt facing the slower levelers at your level that have taken the time to collect gear along the way and have allocated their sp to fight strength instead of tons of stamina to level faster.

Yes, there is a disparity as to how fast a low level can move up compared to a higher level and they may seem to be catching up to you at an alarming rate but, as they get to be higher and higher level too, they will face the same problem you discuss, they will find it harder to level and will slow down. Also, if they have built a levelling character instead of a fighting character, getting those guys into your fight range, doesn't seem like such a bad thing to me but, I'm sure some will disagree.

I have said many times in chat but, up until now I have made no mention of it here but, I do believe the long term players that have been buying gear all along are getting kind of screwed in the bought gear department now. They did however get their use out of it back in the day so, they got the benefit for their spending. That said, I believe they should allow players to do gear trade ins. It would not be trading in an old premium to get a new one at no cost but, they should certainly be able to trade in for a discount. I actually think, kano would see an uptick in revenue if they allowed this. I'm sure many of the spenders wouldn't mind trading in their old used gear for the shiny new stuff if they could get it at a discount. I think fair value, considering they got plenty of use out of it when they bought it would be similar to the cost of sale gear and if done at the right price point, buying sale gear to trade in would not be a winning proposition/something that could be taken advantage of.

Trading in purchased gear is an interesting concept. Kind of like a pawn shop. Would it be you could only trade it for gear or a % of the FPs spent on the old gear or you trade in old gear & some FPs for new premium gear, or some other combination?

The way I envision it, you could use choose an item to trade in when making a new gear purchase so, you get the new gear at a discounted price.

I'm sure trading in your gear for fp directly would be a non-starter for kano. I would suggest they only let you do trade in's for premium limited quantity gear and would think that would be the only way they would do it. If they let you trade for low end items, that would probably not increase their revenue as well and be a turn off for kano. Also, if they let you get essentially a refund on your gear, people would perhaps not spend on new gear instead opting to buy more mob or whatever without generating any new income.

Chances are if you are level 8000 and a level 3000 can kick your a**, I would imagine this would still be true if you were a level 3000 as well, a level 4000, level 5000, level 6000, or level 7000. So tell me what would the difference be? If that level 3000 can beat you as a level 3000 or level 8000, your level really doesn't matter what level you are unless you decide to hide out at level 2000 and try to never get in that player's fight range. There is also a very high probability that while this level 3000 can beat you at level 8000, most level 3000's cannot BUT if you were still a level 3000 yourself as well, the chances are even more level 3000's could beat you. The advantage of leveling can often times be the incredible job drops, bosses, and the extra skill points you have had a chance to allocate that levels lower than you have not received.

Some people enjoy hanging out at a lower level so that they can feel stronger for their level while they watch people who were once their level move forward. And it is easy to say "Well, you are 1000 levels ahead of me! You are just a bully attacking me - whine whine whine" But of course, all these players who are now actually stronger than forever low level player all started playing the game at the same time. It is simply that some players just found ways to make leveling increase their strength while some players just never go anywhere so they can be the strongest kindergartner in the school despite the fact they are 21 years old.

yes, but it's amazing how much trash talk goes on. different players play the game in different ways. it's not hard to build a strong fighter if that's your motivation to play, but not everyone feels that way.

If your motivation is NOT to be stronger, than these particular players should not cry about being bullied or getting beat by other players as this is MOB WARS, a game specifically designed for combat and fighting with other players. There are many ways to strategize for the future and ideas of being a formidable opponent but replying to your specific statement...... have your feelings, whatever they may be, but leave your whining at home when someone who built the mobster to fight comes and crushes your little rainbow and happy thoughts.

let's face it...the game is completely geared towards spending. if you want to level faster - spend on refills. if you want to get stronger - spend on weapons. if you want to level fast and be strong - spend more. you cannot get to a higher level or get stronger than people at similar level as you without spending. and if you don't spend you can still play the game, you just wont excel at it. the people that are at higher levels now have spent money on refills as well as a heck of a lot of time to get there, they should not be penalized for it. the people that joined the game within the past year have enormous advantages that the people that have gamed here since the beginning never ever had. there were no raids to help you jump hundreds of levels, and there were no high level bosses being passed down to us... in kong we were the first to get the best bosses and everyone below us benefited from our efforts.

and to those that suggest that we that choose to spend our time leveling are not participating in a pvp game... i say bs!! we participate, we punch, etc., we just cannot attack down unless opened up to. not our problem (or yours for that matter) if our attacks are consensual and reciprocated

Agreed. Everyone plays this game differently. Some people would rather not fight at all. It is built as a fighting game but, clearly not a fighting game only. Should players that don't want to play pvp be banned or something? No, to each their own. As long as they are not exploiting the game in a way that is detrimental to other players, who cares? It's pretty obvious, taking into consideration the 5000 a day fight cap, that the devs know this is done and it has their tacit approval. No one, no one, is doing 5k attacks a day or any where close to that on a single player unless they are levelling and the devs certainly know that and built this ability into the game. Using alt's and bots to do this violates tos and that would be an issue but, two live people working hard at it does not.

The new raid boss looks cool...hope the rewards will be better than the last time.

The rewards have always increased as subsequent raid bosses came out. The previous raid boss was a rehash of an older one for people who missed it to get the achievement.

Raid levelers are missing out on alot of things, like adventure drops but hey if they want to level fast in the games, let them cause they are weak, these games are not all about your level or your skill points it was a well rounded game before raids, where all aspects of building your character came into play, raid levelers may never understand that concept or the importance of the things they are rushing past and rushing to the top where no one will be lol.
