We just released v2.0 of our Kano Chat client, which includes a styling overhaul and some usability updates. Here is a quick look at the new features:

    - Message Type Selector: to the left of the message input box, is the new Message Type selector. If you find the selector too slow, use the short hand features to auto-select the message type. i.e. Type in /w to switch to world chat message, type /p for Group Chat, etc.

    - Wider message panel, with a new message max of 150 chars. Hi5 and MySpace players, the client spans the entire page.

    - Draggable: Click your mouse anywhere along the top panel of the client, and drag to the area you are currently viewing. This should give you the opportunity to place it in the most optimum viewing position to suit your monitor. Note that if you happen to drag it off the page, reload the page to reset it.

    - Style Updates: new settings panel can be accessed with the settings button on the top of the client. The User Options panel links have been re-organized. Chat filters and Speaker information is now located along the top of the chat window.

    - Speed Updates: constructed a few optimizations for the client scripting, it should be a little more responsive. Another update for this will be coming in the next few days.

If you experience any issues with the new client please report them here. Try and include your browser so that we can adjust any compatibility issues. Any suggestions on how to make it better? Let us know.

That sounds like positive progression, I'll take it.

How about for the next update, allow more than 10 messages to be displayed at one time? you get some fools just counting down on there and taking up all the chat space. People might not buy speakers if they dont think their message will be seen. :)

I actually like the new one A LOT better :) Good job. Funny as hell how there is a "report user" link. Not sure if there was one before cause I never really paid attention to it lol
