i have a suggestion for a modification of the TOS. i have seen more multiple threads being opened about the same topics (and i'm not talking about dormant threads from years ago). i thought someone was supposed to be merging threads on the same topics to reduce the clutter on the forums. since this isn't happening any longer, players that open threads on topics that already have threads about them should be given a "rest" from posting for a week. any thoughts on this?

i ignore most of the garbage, but it is annoying, like that guy's forum signature.

It used to be something a Forum Moderator would do, but I rarely see that, anymore for sometime now, sometimes Mitch will do it, but it is time consuming, since some members here do not take the time to even search for anything, cause they cannot be bothered.

the problem is, you have to check the thread first, and THEN you find out it's full of junk posts. a temporary freeze sounds good to me. i've heard they do that in the games, so why not here?

it looks like this isn't going to happen, based on the multiple posts in multiple threads about the same few topics that i've been seeing.

So very true. But it is interesting how some threads are dominated by a handful of players. Some viewpoints also seem to be very narrow.
