(for anyone old enough to remember Arsenio Hall)

So I've been a bit aggressive with leveling since I started, and had my share of time on the bounty list, but this guy I ran into tonight just leaves me scratching my head and wondering what's going on. Not sure if he's taking the attacks as a personal affront, but while I'm getting good XP from him, he can also defeat me when he attacks, so I'm pretty sure he's getting good XP from me as well. Makes sense that he'd just attack me back, and we'd level together, right?

Wrong. After hitting me a few times, he's decided to start counter-attacking me (fair enough, I can understand this, since you get decent XP and it's an achievement as well), but he's also started putting multiple bounties on me as well, and (this is the really strange part), he heals up after putting the bounty on me and doesn't attack me back, even though he's perfectly capable of defeating me.

It's only been four bounties so far tonight, along with perhaps 20 counter attacks, but at my level (601), 30-40 billion is a pretty hefty chunk of change. $254 billion on bounties (which I don't really understand anyway, since you gain the XP back quickly enough), and I'm gaining the XP loss back just from hitting him twice.

So far, the pattern has been; he places a bounty on me, I die and lose 200xp, then I hit him about ten times, with the first four hits going to counter attacks and the last six netting me around 550 xp. He has something like twice the number of chieftains, so he could easily spend a fraction of what he's spending on counter attacks and bounties on an army big enough to leave me powerless to touch him, but he doesn't.

Granted, he joined 500 days ago and I've been online for 32, so maybe money isn't an object for him, but seriously... I am at a loss to explain this.

About the only thing I can say is Common sense isn't that common. It may sounds like it's simple to us, but some players really dont get, or refuse to learn, all the nuances of the combat system.
