Reposted from the zombie slayer forum Let me begin by saying I'm not trying to whine or cry here. I'm extremely proud of my team and how they've consistently held top 10 if not higher rankings, plus the 6 brains we've amassed over the past year and a half Great job guys! But...(and there's always a but)...what is up with the way a faction first place win is being determined now? Whomever gets GP done first...ok...but we've obviously got some new team with all noob players who manage to magically get gp by 30 mins after midnight pst. I mean...it seems that players are rewarded for being in convenient time zones now. Those in the states have to set alarms for ridiculous hours to try and get gp done by the new "must be in at midnight PST to even have a chance rule" the noob faction has started. I mean seriously...so many of my friends, including myself have to be up at like 2am to get gp done to even compete...how does it make an app enjoyable when you're setting deadlines like that? I think Kano needs to look into how a faction winner is determined. It can't be based off of you're in a convenient time zone so you win, congrats. I welcome the suggestions and comments of my fellow players here on how we can help make it a fair competition for us all.
Why does every thing with Kano have to go to bloody ideas???? It's not a suggestion, it's a positive question as to the way the results are processed. What other league in the World determines the winner on the team that finishes their game first, whilst others are still playing?????? This is not a question of time zones, this should be about determining the winner when the clock strikes midnight of the last day of play and all the results are in!!! This is also posted in your original thread. I will not vote as I feel this is not a time zone issue but a poor setup issue
On my original post, someone replied that it should be calculated off a combination of GP, boss and outbreaks and just overall playing the game more than 5 minutes to get gp every day. I'd love to see suggestions from everyone on how we can level the playing field!
m not going to sit here and agree with alot of the posts here. It has nothing to do with Time Zone. It has to do with One person logging on 15/20 accounts and doing GP for a whole faction. I have People in Europe, US (PST, MST, CST, EST) and we've won 18 Brains in 9 Months.. Time zone MATTERS NOT. Its the Matter of The Fugging Cheating Losers that continue to Poison this game.
really surprising....the faction that finished in such a short time yesterday and won the brain.....as of 1030 pm has had one person out of 25 do gps.....one single person...... how very very odd, dont you think??
Players have been complaining about this issue from the onset of GP and rightfully so. Kano did address this issue way back when season play started by saying that if they moved the finish time to the end of the day then we would have numerous guilds tie for first place. Thats why I have since offered up the suggestion on many occasions that they make GP unlimited and or expand the scoring categories which would make a tie almost impossible. Not only would this take "alt guilds" out of the running but it might also promote more playing by players who want to keep their guilds competitive . Really how competitive is season play? It takes mere minutes to get your 16k a day .....its time for a change!
The mere fact that Kano admitted that too many Factions would tie for first should tell you something about the pathetic GP system THEY set up. They don't have a clue about gaming and coding seems a struggle as they fail to address annoying issues that have been raised countless times. They told us they were ridding the game of alts and cheats. Now cheats have thrown down the gauntlet and Kano are F**ked because their system can't detect them in the way Kano said it would. Bottom line.. We can post these issues until the cows come home. Kano will only change the game when it suits them and to suit themselves, not us!!! The Ideas section is just a dangling carrot.
The fact that the faction to win last season's "Brain" is made up of alts is glaringly obvious. Unfortunate as it is for those of us that truly enjoy playing this app, KANO is too busy banning people for winning too many fights to actually look into, or by all means actually do something about, the cheaters that are ruining it for everyone else. I guess after giving out Brains every week for a year, the devs finally ran out of their own.
It kind of is a time zone issue. I'm a night owl, so I happen to be awake at midnight PST, but while I'm not unique, I'm also in the minority. There isn't a lot of activity when I'm online at that time of night. Kano does need to take a look at this issue. A "first come, first served" approach simply isn't a viable solution. Unfortunately, I don't have a solution myself and I don't see one in the initial post either. Why does this need to be in the 'Ideas' section again? I agree with alka. Why does everything have to be included here? This isn't a suggestion, it's more of a query. I understand that the goal was to have all suggestions more easily accessible to the staff here, but not everything fits. I'll give this a "10" only because I'd like to see Kano try to find a solution to this issue.
