TGIT! What happened this past week in Dev and Community? Player Bans April 5 - April 11 As a reminder, the following numbers are permanently frozen accounts, and don't count temporary freezes. FB: 16 KP: 56 Kong/Armor: 103 The majority of permanently frozen accounts are frozen for being a shared or alternate account. This is something we actively investigate, and we appreciate players reporting suspicious accounts to us. If you have any questions or comments about a frozen account, please direct them through Support as the Forums are not the place to discuss account freezes, because of the sensitive account information involved. New Limited Items! A new week means new Limited Items! Here’s what’s up for grabs: Good Friday Long Weekend! As you may have noticed I’m posting this TGIF on a Thursday. That’s because tomorrow is Good Friday and is therefore a holiday for us Kano folks. As usual you should expect a day or so’s delay in answering Support tickets or anything here on the forum, but we’ll be back Monday morning, probably full of chocolate. Easter Calendar! Here comes the Easter Calendar! This special Three-Day Calendar runs from April 18 at 10:00 am PDT - April 21 at 10:00 am PDT. Support Report with your favorite burrowing, nocturnal mammal and Answerpreneur, Aardvark! Happy Friday! Today I'd like to talk a bit about how our games integrate with the networks they live on, as there seems to be some confusion about this. Social media games are not complete, independent entities in themselves, they are created as a fun extension of a user's network profile. When players in these game interact, that information exchange is possible because of the architecture of the social media network. Think of the network as bridge spanning an epic ravine. The bridge itself is a huge impressive structure that allows lots of people and traffic to cross and is kind of a big deal. Well, it turns out this bridge is also a sweet place to bungee jump. That's what the game apps are, a way to use the existing structure in a new fun way and even attract more people to use the bridge. However, something to keep in mind that however awesome the bungee experience is, it's still completely dependent on the bridge and the people who made it. This means that all of us, users and developers alike need to stick to the rules the bridge builders have laid out to keep it safe and well-maintained. Ultimately we ask that everyone please respect our social media partners' Terms. They have the right to remove a user from their network if they consider that person to be a problem. We will always do what we can to make sure our players are looked after, but our options are pretty limited if your account has been closed by network admins! Cheers, Aardvark who thinks the Hufflepuff house at Hogwarts has been badly marketed and needs to do some brand revitalization. Terrible Joke of the Week Here's your lame joke of the week!
