It's time for TGIF, your weekly wrap-up of what happened this past week in Dev and Community! Player Bans October 25 - October 31 As a reminder, the following numbers are permanently frozen accounts, and don't count temporary freezes. FB: 4 KPs2: 45 Kong: 97 The majority of permanently frozen accounts are frozen for being a shared or alternate account. This is something we actively investigate, and we appreciate players reporting suspicious accounts to us. If you have any questions or comments about a frozen account, please direct them through Support as the Forums are not the place to discuss account freezes, because of the sensitive account information involved. New Limited Items! A new week means new Limited Items! Here’s what’s up for grabs: New Battle Drops! We released some new Battle Drops to the game this past week. These drops are for levels 21,000+. Movember Calendar! The Movember 3-Day Calendar is now on and it runs until November 11 at 10:00 am PST. Three-Day Weekend! This coming weekend is a long one for the folks here at Kano. It’s Remembrance Day up here in Canada, a day where we honor the sacrifices made by our veterans. As such, we won’t be back in the office until Tuesday, November 12, so expect a delay in the answering of Support tickets and Forum questions. Support Report with your favorite burrowing, nocturnal mammal and Answerpreneur, Aardvark! Happy Friday players, and a good Remembrance Day / Poppy Day / Armistice day to those of you who will be observing it on the coming Monday. We've had a fair amount of feedback and suggestion tickets come into Support this week, which is great. One player did comment that we don't seem to draw enough from player ideas, so I thought I'd talk a bit about it this week. It's a bit frustrating when players tell us they feel like we are not listening. Kano is structured around the belief that with our types of games acting on feedback and suggestions from players is vital to building and maintaining fun experiences and healthy, active communities. Nearly all of our tasks and projects are based around player feedback and are either features that have been pulled directly from suggestions or have been designed by the team as a solution to issues brought to us by players. Unfortunately, it's literally impossible for us to keep up with the all the feedback that comes in. Many ideas presented suggest completely opposing directions for the game, and others we cannot implement because they would conflict with existing game elements that players enjoy. Even setting these examples aside, we get a pretty big volume of suggestions and the task of managing and prioritizing the input we get is a constant challenge. This isn't intended as an excuse, just as a bit of exposition on how things look from our perspective and an explanation as to why some suggestions are set aside or take longer to implement than you might expect. As always, we welcome and encourage any constructive observations, opinions, and proposals you might have. Cheers, Aardvark, who wonders why she can never plug in a USB cable the right way on her first try. Terrible Joke of the Week Here's your lame joke of the week!
