TGIF! What happened this past week in Dev and Community? Player Bans December 28 - January 3 As a reminder, the following numbers are permanently frozen accounts, and don't count temporary freezes. FB: 14 KPs2: 4 The majority of permanently frozen accounts are frozen for being a shared or alternate account. This is something we actively investigate, and we appreciate players reporting suspicious accounts to us. If you have any questions or comments about a frozen account, please direct them through Support as the Forums are not the place to discuss account freezes, because of the sensitive account information involved. New Limited Items! A new week means new Limited Items! Here’s what’s up for grabs: 3-Day Calendar! The January Jackpot 3-Day Calendar started this morning and it runs until January 13 at 10:00 am PST. Winter Newsletter! It’s been a little while since our last newsletter, but we’re getting back into the swing of things. Make sure you have your correct email address plugged in under “Setting” to receive the newsletter. Additionally, please be aware that we have a ton of emails to send so they tend to go out rather slowly to avoid being caught in spam filters, so if you don’t get one right away, no worries, it will come eventually. Battle Arena Latency Fix We’ve noticed over the last few Arenas that players have brought up concerns over the amount of latency at the beginning of the event. While we do have servers that are automated to spin up to handle the increased amount of players, this turned out to not be the optimal solution. We’re starting to work on ways to enable our servers to either spin up quicker or be in place before an Arena begins. We’ll be conducting trial runs with the next few Arenas. Hope everyone's getting through their January blues alright, things always seem a bit sombre after nuttiness of the holiday season. Not too much news this week, but we did make some more adjustments to the chat to help us get a better handle on reports. It looks like some stuff wasn't getting logged correctly, but we've finally rooted out the problem behind it and we should be in good shape moving forward. A quick note about transfers! We are not able to move accounts over to other networks. This is a solid fact. Even if you are a wonderful, deserving person who brings joy and happiness to everyone you encounter who says pretty pretty please with sugar on top, I'm afraid I still cannot make this happen for you. It's a game stability thing - we just can't drop accounts with existing histories, assets, etc onto a platform they never existed on before. We're feeling pretty safe and happy with our current networks, but if you are concerned about the future of the game on your current platform, I can promise you that should there be a closure, we will make sure you are looked after. If necessary we will even construct an entire new network where you can continue your character with all your levels, friends, items, etc. intact.
