TGIF! What ducks do we have in a row this week? Player Bans January 24 - January 30 As a reminder, the following numbers are permanently frozen accounts, and don't count temporary freezes. FB: 15 KPs2: 2 Kong/Armor: 9 The majority of permanently frozen accounts are frozen for being a shared or alternate account. This is something we actively investigate, and we appreciate players reporting suspicious accounts to us. If you have any questions or comments about a frozen account, please direct them through Support as the Forums are not the place to discuss account freezes, because of the sensitive account information involved. New Limited Items! A new week means new Limited Items! Here’s what’s up for grabs: Integrated Kongregate/Armor Games Chat! This week we released an integrated Chat for Kongregate and Armor Games. Check out the details here! Long Weekend This upcoming weekend is a long weekend for us up here in beautiful British Columbia, Canada. What is the occasion you might ask? Well, it’s Family Day! If it sounds made up, that’s because it probably is. Someone somewhere realized that we previously didn’t have any three-day weekends in February, the worst month of the year (objectively) and decided to give us one starting last year. So, what this means for you folks is that the friendly Kano/Apps staff won’t be around until Tuesday so Forum questions and Support tickets will have a slightly longer than normal response time. For Family Day, I’ll be spending my time with Edward Kenway, the protagonist of Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag, who is the only family I really need. Support Report with your favorite burrowing, nocturnal mammal and Answerpreneur, Aardvark! Happy Friday! Many of you are aware of this, but here's a quick reminder anyway. To help make pages load faster, information about the sites you have visited is often stored on your computer. This info is called your cache. When an update is released to a game or the site it's hosted on, this cached data may no longer be up to date and will sometimes even interfere with page loading instead of helping. If something in your game doesn't seem to be working right, try logging out and clearing your cache. If you're not sure how, just do a quick Google search. You can also check this site ( http://www.wikihow.com/Clear-Your-Browser's-Cache ) for a detailed breakdown of the steps in some of the more common browsers. In other news, I'm please to introduce our new Player Support staff member, Annick, or "Glitch" here on the forums. She's a quick learner, speaks both English and French, and likes long walks on the beach. Cheers, Aardvark who apparently needs to remember that espresso beans and regular beans are not interchangeable when making a pot of coffee Terrible Joke of the Week Here's your lame joke of the week! What did the worker at the rubber band factory say when he lost his job? OH SNAP ← Highlight for hilarity! That's it for TGIF this week, everybody! Thanks for reading, and have an excellent weekend! Thanks for deleting my post. I'm probably one of your longest time players here with 1358 days played (FB ZS) I don't post often because I despise the forums, thanks for validating this. TBH I don't know why my post was deleted. It's common knowledge that Kano people don't play their own games, it's been posted about here a number of times. It's the reason there's such a disconnect between the devs and players. This should have been a good opportunity for you all to play with both faction wars and arena going on.
I deleted that post for being snarky and not particularly constructive. I understand that you had a point to make there, but frankly how I spend my free time isn't really up for discussion and not particularly germane to any on-going threads about the games. Besides, even if we don't play the games as often as our players, we are still here working on them during the week, often beyond normal hours. I spend quite a bit of time in the games during the work day and play for a while and browse the chat to see what people are saying on all the networks where we have a presence. There's a thread that seems to run through all avenues of game development where there's a thought that developers of a particular game should be the best at it, or at the top of the leaderboard or what have you. We're often all over the games, just not in ways that would disrupt the day-to-day goings on of normal players. When we do updates or roll out new content, or are running an event, we always keep a close eye on the game to tackle any issues that might spring up. So my point is that we do play the games, but we spend the majority of our time working on them instead.
