Player Bans June 15 - June 21

As a reminder, the following numbers are permanently frozen accounts, and don't count temporary freezes.

FB: 8
KP2: 10
Kong/Armor: 125

The majority of permanently frozen accounts are frozen for being a shared or alternate account. This is something we actively investigate, and we appreciate players reporting suspicious accounts to us.

If you have any questions or comments about a frozen account, please direct them through Support as the Forums are not the place to discuss account freezes, because of the sensitive account information involved.

Next Wednesday is July 1 so you know what that means! ...Canada Day, but also the start of a new Monthly Calendar! It starts July 1 at 10:00 am PDT and runs until the end of the month.



Event Survey Results!

In case you missed our post earlier this week (http://forums.kanoapps.com/threads/event-survey-results.15937/)we put up some of the results of the Event survey we sent out a couple weeks ago. You should go read the whole post for information about the other games as well as the general trends we saw from the questions that were a bit harder to present in nice, clean graphs. Hope you're all doing better than I am right now! It's blistering hot here in Kanopolis and as one of those auspicious individuals with a desk next to a window, I am constantly torn between keeping it open to let in the breeze or closed to shut out the endless sound-tapestry of jackhammers, car alarms and crying toddlers.

Some fun facts! As most of you know, the Kano team is relatively small. There are currently 20 people in the company, and of that 4 of us are what we call "LiveOps" - staff dedicated to managing accounts and engaging directly with players through Support, the forums, etc.

We try to make sure people know who we are - I like to introduce to LiveOps team members here in the Support Report, and we generally have unique titles on the forums. Many most team members belong to the [KANO] Factions in the games, and have recognizable game handles. We're not often in the game chats, but when we are the system will identify our posts as being from an admin.

So, if an unfamiliar person sends you a private message and claims to be representing Kano/Apps or the game, be careful! DO NOT discuss any information about your account, and please let Support know ASAP, especially if it happens inside the game or on our forums! If someone is pretending to be a Kano Team member we want to put a stop to it as soon as we can.

When are the main accounts who continually make these alternate/shared accounts gonna start being banned?

The way Support deals with these issues is that a permanent ban is a last resort and we prefer to focus on helping users understand why their conduct is not acceptable. Don't interpret that as me saying we do not hand out punishments; we do temporarily freeze accounts until the user in questions demonstrates their understanding of our rules.

Repeated rule breakers do suffer harsher consequences. I understand that there are some out there who would like to see a more specific brand of punishment meted out, but we are also interested in preserving our player base and getting users to change their behavior.

As always if there is an account out there you would like to report for any reason, please send it on over to Support.

 

125 account bans doesn't seem like people are "learning their lesson" as Kano thinks they are. Interested in preserving player base? Get rid of those cheaters I'd say never mind, it's been asked before

when yall actually question players about this type of issue mi7ch they are still gonna break the rules behind yall back which they always do...that is something that should not be allowed is to question players once they break a rule it should be a permant ban instead of coming back what u should is a 6 month ban or a year ban an make it where they can not create no alt accounts...that is how it should be done these days an time...bc the cheaters are ruining the game an they are bringing the games downhill an eventually yall gonna have to shut em down if it keeps it up an which i rather see the games running...which i am being honest mi7ch this is all u see on all of these game apps is alot of cheaters coming in an out of the games...doesnt matter how much money the have put into there accounts if they cheat should be a 6 month to a year ban worth an if that doesnt do any good than that should be a permant ban an call every internet provider an put a blocker on there ip addree where they cant even access the games...which that is a good idea for this to occur too keep the game fair an safe! altho i know this message aint gonna work anyways but it is worth the shot an try out!! but kano yall need to listen for once about this an i am being serious kano bc one day someone is gonna come in an see all of this cheating going on alt accounts going on they are gonna report u guys an have u shut down which that this does not need to occur i am just saying.. At least listen to us for once bc us loyal players should be allowed to speak up an be clear about our opinions an it should matter an count as one!! bc kano some of these players that do report players u know at least half of them that do report players are honest some maybe not be but alot of them are telling the truth an each time that actually occurs nothing never really gets solved an it is mostly a case closed so i think this statement need to be made an address to the kano devs...Loyal Players will be happy if yall can do some serious changing on how your system works an it would be very appreciated if u would agree with us all about removing them permantly once cheated so u all have a good weekend an wonderful day!!

I would really like to know how many YEARS griefing and harassment needs to go on before you do anything/something to deal with this problem.............

Ohh well at least i had the option to blacklist when your FUN and FAIR player moved war from one game to another ...

 

If left, why back on here?

 

There are certain aspects of this game that are easily exploited by people that want to cheat and some that are not. Some of these elements are not very popular and removal or a revamping of them would impact very few players and likely improve the overall game experience. When developing new events and activities, the devs should seriously take time to consider how or if it can be exploited by alts, auto clickers, macros, etc. There is a way to reduce cheating within this game without suspending accounts. Simply remove opportunities for cheaters to prosper and take care that you don't create new opportunities for it as you continue to add new content.

 

If people could use paragraphs, that would be great. It's impossible to read this mess. Therefore, I have no idea what those guys are talking about.

I'm still awaiting reply from Mitch about the post about surveys which I missed.

EDIT: nevermind, just noticed they put the link in the article now. Too bad nobody mentioned it.

I wanted to post in the latest one but it aint on here so I am just gonna post my question here. When are you guys going to update the crates? I feel it would be best if done monthly
