TGIF! Game Development News for September 6, 2019

Happy Friday everyone!

Hope you’ve all had an excellent first week of September! The year is really flying by, isn’t it? We’re working on a few interesting things here which will see the light of day soon (sorry for the continued teasing!) but for now let’s go over what’s new this past week in development news:

In Game Events!



Two celestial wolves that chase the Sun and Moon through the sky, Sköll and Hati are back in Viking Clan! If these two lupine pursuers catch their prey, it touches off Ragnarok, the end of all things, so band together with your clan to make sure that doesn’t happen!



Pirate Clan, Crafting recipes for Shipbreaker Bay are out, closing off the release of new content for this Location. Hop into the Blacksmith and see what you can make.

Mob Wars: LCN Ambush Changes

To reiterate from last week’s TGIF, we rolled out our updates to the Ambush mechanic earlier this week. In case you missed our previous announcements, here’s what we changed:

• Remove the 60 second cooldown
• Introduce an inflated Cash cost for attempting to set repeated Ambushes beyond your max

Facebook Gifting Issues

Earlier this week, players encountered some issues with the game freezing when sending Gifts and other requests like boosts. This has since been fixed by Facebook, but if you continue to encounter any issues, please let us know in Support and we can file a report and get it looked into.

Chat Group Invite Links

Today we rolled out the ability for Chat Group owners to send an invite link to their private Chats to invite other players. You can access this link from the Chat Group Settings. Similarly to your own person Invite Code for friend requests, you can update the invite link here as well, which will invalidate any previous links that have been sent out. Here’s what it looks like in game:



This is just on desktop for right now, but we’re working on getting it functional on the mobile apps as soon as possible, along with a few other Chat Group updates for you! If you run into any issues using the invites, please send us a ticket in Support.
