I've noticed on a few occasions when playing Syndicate Wars that Syndicates in Saved Targets are being removed by people, when asked nobody owns up to being the culprit. With this in mind could it be tweaked so that only the Leader and Officers get to add and remove Syndicates from Saved targets? This way there's a bit more control and if some get removed it narrows down the field of suspects from 25 to around 3 or 4.

this is funny. aren't there enough targets to go after whether they are saved or not? maybe you should get some more "trustworthy" players in your crew if you feel this is a problem, lol.

The saved list is a controlled list vs. the randomness of the list provided within the game. I know many players and synds treat SW as a random way to gain extra XP so the saved list isn't of very much importance to them. Synds however which implement strategies for SW the saved list is a very effective tool. So when having a lone wolf stray from the pack and taking it upon themselves to edit the saved list it can be an issue. Putting control of the list in the hands of the synd officers would be a nice addition.

While we are asking for tweaks to the saved list it would be great if it could be sorted by rank: A - B - C - D - E. Might as well go for the whole enchilada now and include sort by Alpha as well.

what "strategies"? ganging up on a syndicate until it's dead? that's doesn't require much strategy, just money. sounds to me that you don't have the right people in your crew if they're doing things you officers don't want them to do. do you really want the syndicate wars to be screwed up like the battle arenas with all kinds of changes?

For those who want to view and play this game as "mindless clicking" that is their prerogative or the always convenient "money" excuse. I am not here to try and alter another's way of playing. For those of us who like to delve into the mathematics of the game and dig into the numbers the game is a bit more than just clicking.

Tweaking the saved list in no way changes the formulas behind how SW is structured. Meaning game play would stay the same. It is at best a cosmetic change. A way to manipulate, sort, and control the saved list. Nothing about changing the game play of SW.

delve into the mathematics of the game? it's pretty simple to me. you need 25 active "players" in your syndicate to do well in syndicate wars. if you don't have 25 active "players", you'll never take the top spots. whether or not you're able to save targets doesn't matter as far as that goes. you're right that game play would stay the same. nothing would change in the rankings whether or not you're able to save targets, so why does it really matter if someone in your syndicate unsaves them?

Evilspeak's idea is very good. Leader/officer role is recruitment of course, but also to define strategy during SW. So they should be the only members allowed to change this list.

I agree with Evilspeak also - except it could be inconvenient on those occasions that the Leader/Officers aren't online at the start of SWs

I can't speak for others but I'm ALWAYS online at the beginning of every war, even if it starts at stupid o'clock in the morning.

It's true that it can be hard sometimes to be online at the start of the SW, but with 3 officers / 1 leader, you can hav 2 people from Europe time zone / 2 from US time zone and you're sure to have always a leader or an officer online at the start. Or you do like Evilspeak! :)

I find the SW target list annoying to be honest. Why not have every synd in the target list ranked by category???

i'm thinking that this will be a coding nightmare, plus i believe that the list is supposed to be randomized like the arenas, so that the same players cannot beat up on one particular player/syndicate at the same time.

I really find syndicate wars boring. I am sure it is just me and maybe I don't know how to play it to its full potential. But I not only forget to join most weeks, I forget to use tokens, and when I do use tokens I can't wait to finish so I can go do something else. I suppose it would be more interesting if I worked with a bunch of players who were online together and at the same time, and all had tokens at the same time where we could go after specific targets and enjoy kills as a team.

It's a great team activity mate. It's a lot of fun in a good syndicate.
