Syndicate/Guild/Faction/Armada Wars Input

    We have put a lot of thought into what Syndicate/Guild/Faction/Armada Wars could/should be in LCN/VC/ZS/PC and here is what we have come up with initially. Please provide feedback / concerns.

    A new points system will be introduced called "Syndicate/Guild/Faction/Armada War Points". The intent of the War Points will be a way to keep track of War scoring.

    You can gain War Points from taking acts of agression on other members of other groups that are opted in for War and not in your alliance.

    There will be a new option to opt-in for war, once opted in your group will be visible to all others in the War even if it is set to private.

    War Points Scoring on enemy Syndicate/Guild/Faction/Armada members:
    +2 Attack Win (including CageMatch)
    +1 Attack Loss (including CageMatch)
    +10 Hitlist
    +6 Counter Attack
    +8 Bounty Trap
    +2 Punch
    +10 Battle Kill
    +10 Punch Kill
    +10 Hitlist Kill

    War Points will be limited on repeat attacks on same individual in the span of a season day (24-hrs) after the following actions:
    250 Attacks
    10 hitlists
    10 bounty traps
    25 Counter Attacks
    12 Punches
    10 Battle Kills
    10 Punch Kills


    Season Leaderboard Stats:
    Total War Points

    Faction Stats (may be added to leaderboard after initial release):
    Total Dmg (Dmg Dealt - Dmg Taken)
    Dmg Dealt
    Dmg Taken
    Total Wins
    Total Losses
    Total Punches
    Total Counter Attacks
    Total Hitlists
    Total Hitlist Traps

    There will be trophies for top groups.

    We are looking into awarding additional bonuses for ranking high in Wars.

    will we have a way to know/track what weve already done and what we still can do on a particular player?

    This sounds AWESOME! I guess I'll have to join a real faction now :/

    Would the "additional bonuses" be UN points or skill points?

    Kendall,

    I've been an advocate for this from the beginning and it's awesome that this might become reality. This will "level-the-playing-field" for a guild that accepts war then hides behind alts, etc. May I suggest that only "War Guilds" be allowed to fly a certain flag- I mean it's a mockery that many so-called "raiding" guilds.. fly the "raider" flag and are passive non-aggressive guilds. It should be truly two divisions of guilds- like you mentioned, however if you fly a "war" flag.. it makes your guild open to anyone to attack and gain points:).

    Having said that.... I like the direction of this and awesome job with everthing!

    Development will move full steam ahead this week, I wanted to give the community a chance for input, collaboration and a chance to identify any potential issues.

    After we (developers) had a chance to talk through the feature, this scoring system made a lot of sense and has the potential to be very exciting, we all felt it would be a very cool feature and address a bunch of open issues that have been brought up by players previously.

    Are there going to be any benefits to the players who don't want to join a faction?

    Quick question. What's the plan for alliance points (just noticed it)? I personally dislike alliances, lol. However, if it makes a huge difference for collective points then I might have to re-consider adding some alliances.

    For players that don't want to join a Faction then unfortunately there won't be any benefit.

    Faction Wars is to really compete with a group of people against other groups of people.

    Hmm we haven't given much thought to bonus points for alliance groups, what we had thought is that if you attacked them you wouldn't get any War Points so it would be a way to not get alliances accidentally caught in the cross fire since War Points would not be awarded for acts of aggression against them.

    cant wait .. will give feed back after it is in effect .. but as of now sounds like another way to keep us playin longer into the night .. awesomesauce !!

    This is starting to sound like the game, Risk. To me, taking the battle away from single players to wars, if you're not a member of a guild, you'll basically be penalized when compared to the other players when it comes to points, XP, etc. Looks like you're going to push this down our throats whether we want it or not.

    So, seriously? 250 attacks-10 hitlists- on one individual in a 24 hour time frame is your limit? Why put a limit at all with that large a number? So you have a group of 25 individuals and your logic is to let each have 10 attacks? You know it's not going to be that way. I think you should halve the amount. Doesn't mean they can't continue the attack, it's just they shouldn't keep receiving war points because the higher level members will attack the lower leveled ones and collect all those war points. I can see why the more aggressive groups would be excited about this.

    This seems to be a wait and see type "improvement" tho at this point I have no real say BUT I do hope it makes some ppl happy .
    I like guilds and FACTIONS and because of another "improvement" I. at this point. am NOT playing ... I hope to come back at some point to finish what I started~!!
     
  19. For a note of constructive advice: to truly make the wars worth fighting to everyone is to leave players of all levels open to attacks from players of all other levels as long as they are involved in the war.

    Otherwise this just sounds like a great way to get people to play more and do less. Those at higher levels already have a hard enough time leveling up let alone spending time trying to win silly points that give a silly trophy. Whatever these bonuses are had best be worth the effort. More ways of gathering xp would be much better welcomed into the game. Maybe then you wouldn't have so many quit after the DD and Shooter help cap.

    Too right brother!

    As i expected, it offers no intrinsic additional gameplay, as it stands i attack, punch hitlist those that i can/choose to.

    With this rollout i will be able to....attack, punch hitlist those that i can/choose to and garner some more pointless points to keep my GP company in the pointless cupboard.
