This is crazy, Mitch. We built a character for years and years and more years. Then all of the sudden all those years of building is just wiped out....Everyone who sold all those items back is just FUCKED out of strength. Lowers that can level constantly off of raids and people who spend hundreds of dollars on UN to attack them constantly can gather inventory. Meanwhile the people who can't afford to do that but did spend TIME building their characters and buying inventory for years and years are just screwed. I know we can build from here but it's just so sleazy that you all did this. Like i said: I don't mind change, but fuck man this is a hard slap in the face to people who have stuck around for YEARS keeping this game going. You all should at least come up with something to compensate us. I know you can't go back and look at exactly what was sold back, but something needs to be done. The squad and increase in inventory used in fights per TS/HS member doesn't really bother me too much. Just the thought of all that WASTE is so very frustrating. Like Umaroth said: I don't know what else to say about it....Just feels very, very wrong.
LOL yeah he posted that while I was ranting...he got it posted before I did. That is encouraging news.
i'd say we all got shafted , seems the higher level we get the easier they are making it for lowers to catch up ,, we had to work hard to get where we are yet they get it handed to them on a plate, we should be compensated for the items we sold back , this is BS!
"recent Pawn Shop transactions" ??? How about all Pawn Shop transactions, most of us higher levels dumped tons of items long ago not just the last month or two!! Then if we have to Buy them back are they going to be leveled up like they were when we sold them? Have all these items back at level one needing to upgrade again? WOW you guys really slapped us higher levels in the face this time. Not sure why we are still playing this game
Might I offer some feedback of my own. I don't think kano really understands what the folks that play zs are there for. We chose ZS for it's limitations. If we wanted to craft and buy items like crazy we'd just play the other games. We like ZS for the content. (which has sorely been lacking for awhile) As you said, the achievements that already existed, the locations, the fights, the hunting. I see a lot of new folks asking about properties and income and crafting and items etc. But we don't enjoy that. In fact, the folks quickly find out they have very little to do with the game cash anyway. Why on earth would we want more properties to mess with upgrading? The folks that ZS has gotten for a loyal following just want the content to keep up with the leveling. You see, it used to be extremely difficult to level, so it wasn't as big of a deal that the achievements hadn't caught up. And the locations were a little slower. Then came the calendars. Then BA leveling, then FW leveling, then Raid boss leveling. The game outpaced the content. We like the game. Please try to keep it the game. We understand change in the long term is good, but the hireds for example have never been something we liked. We liked the pure fight as it was. yes we adapted. And to kano it may appear like it. But we have actually little use for that other than it's another obstacle to over come. Not a fun one like a challenge to do, just one that must be done so kano can have more income. I respectfully request, that y'all pretty please, listen more to the folks that have stuck with zs and less to folks from the other games trying to make what they know work on this one. There are 3 others that work that way, we can easily go play those if we want those types of things to do. I'm not sure that is concise, but going forward, we would absolutely adore you if you could work more on locations, and achievements adding those once a percentage of slayers reach the old ones. And less about integrating what the other games have into ours. little side missions and events if easy to convert seem to go over pretty ok. But changing our core game to more resemble the other games is disheartening at the least and down right painful at the worst for those of us that really love zs. thank you,
8 years of building, and I sold back TONS of items for a fraction of what they cost. I'm out at least 20k UN & hundreds of $ of real money. I did the math. Probably more, but that's being conservative. You saying you might be able to reverse what's recently been sold doesn't give back everything we've sold back. You said "recently". We've been selling back for 3 years now. Being sneaky with your wording are you? Well F you. I'm quitting this game unless I get compensated for my items lost that I spent real money on. You can get some other fools to give you their money.
You know that I know that you know you do not have 2 million players in this game. And, you're going to give the few thousands of players that are here the shaft? You also know that I know that you know Zombie Slayer is designed to make us spend money. The items from bosses are useless. The crafting items are useless. And, we spend money. Now, you increase the number of items we need. This change is designed to make us spend more money. Money, money, money we gave you and now you want more money. Many of us play multiple games on your multiple platforms. You think each of us has the Midas touch? Or a goose that lays a golden egg? I don't think so honey. It is clear to me you do not have a good business model to work from. I think this because every change you make is met with negative feedback from most of us. I know baby needs a new pair of shoes. Well, my baby needs a new pair of shoes. And, I will not be hoodwinked into getting yours a pair first. Robbers, you are, the whole lot of you!
Good news. They would be restored to whatever level you had reached with them from before. We'll have more to say in the morning but we appreciate the feedback from everyone.
I remember this, me and you got around the same UNs for selling back. We lost our tails w/ this update
I will admit I have spent 100's on buying the un deals when they came around.. then I would buy crates so I could get my inventory items for each section to 30k then I would sell off old inventory to maximize more un to get more items.. Now seeing me doing all this has just been flushed down the toilet.. I would have so kept all my old inventory if I knew this was coming...
1 thing I wan't to say, how about reading the whole thread before commenting, is it that hard? Mitch answered to the situatiojn on post # 21 Smack did as well on post # 32
My worry on this is the wording they used. "An update on what we're working on around this, we are looking at making an update to allow the reverse of recent Pawn Shop transactions.". Notice how he said RECENT. What would they consider "recent"? the past 30 days or something? We have been selling our items for 3 years in the pawn shop. I choose to remain skeptical.
unfortunately for us, they dont really care what level we are and how long we have played, they are looking to give out bonuses for the new year. their entire long term strategy (if they really do have one) is allowing all new players that start the ability to catch up as quickly as possible to those of us who have been playing for years, that has always been their strategy and will continue to be going forward, they realize that no one would start playing this game if they could never close the playing gap. but screwing us over like they did by allowing more weaponry, is a new all time low. shame on you and your team mitch screw me once shame on you screw us again like this, we wont be around to be screwed again i have lost any interest in putting ANY dollars into this game ever
People want to voice their opinions & grievances. Regardless if they read the reply or not, something this drastic invokes a lot of strong feelings. And I agree with what Heather said. The word "Recent" is pretty scary. When the pawn shop first opened I sold over 100 items on that day. After that I would just sell an item back as it was knocked out. So no more than like 2 or 3 in any given day. I am hoping that the resolution will be satisfying but I'm gonna go with Heather here and remain skeptical as well.
Yeah, sorry for the somewhat vague language, but as I said we are working on the final details. I'll have an update for you all in a short while here. Edit: Just met with the team about this, will have a final update for you all soon.
Mitch, Thank you for hearing our concerns and working on it. I do hope to see the update when I check back as it seems to have been awhile. I don't see how this can be fixed to any decent resolution without tracking of what has been returned over the years and that sounded impossible in the previous responses. In the future, Kano might want to reach out to a few players before making core changes and simply ask what pitfalls do you see. Might save a lot of bad feelings on both sides if another perspective is received before implementing changes that cannot easily be reversed. Might delay the implementation by a day or two but would allow for a smoother update. Sell it before they have to buy it type of thing too as they would then be able to help calm the community within the game. Just a thought.
will you have to send a ticket in to be compensated or will it be automatic? yes i know you're still working on it just wondering...
