How about sound effects for slaps whips, that would be cool good whip thunk groan, bad whip flys buzzing then a smack, whipkill watermelon dropped off a twenty story building sound

Ooooh no sounds for me please - one of the benefits of slient gameplay is I can sit in the office uninterrupted - dont need the sound of whipping coming from my office ! LOL

Like Kirsten said, i think the novelty would wear off for all pretty quickly. Like those animations you get when you get a strike when your bowling. Might raise a smile once or twice, but you soon end up wishing it would bugger off! lol

they need to worry about other aspects of the game besides sound go play a xbox or farmville and listen to the birds sing there... There are alot more aspects the developers need to worry about like how to screw upper levels on raids. Hope you small guys can beat these on your own they are running big dawgs out of raids

Thats because its a levelling machine for those lower levels. They can keep levelling up and spending the fps earned from levelling. Hardly costs them anything, if anything at all.

sound effects are not really important at this point.. 99% of us simply keep volume off anyway!

I might be wrong, but I think we did have sound and some animations way back in the day, but we removed those after we realized that most players muted the games or found out ways to get around seeing the animations (this is second hand info from a previous employee so I might be a bit off). Sometimes less is more. :)

I think it would be a fun option, even if the majority of people mute it. However, hearing the same sound a thousand slaps later can get pretty gruesome, the issue would be having varied sounds and a random sequencer, that wouldn't be around till long after April.
