the rating that you give the forums is were you are only able to give it a 1,2,3,4,5,ect. i think that it would be a good idea if kano makes it to were there can be like a 0,0.5,1,1.5,2,2.5,3,3.5,ect all the way up to 10 cus i meen who hasnt wanted to put a 7.5 or somrthing like that for an idea or even a 0 either to be a jerk or just because the idea was that bad
Dont really dont see what .5s would achieve as 1-10 is satisfactory and its averaged out by percentage on total votes So really dont see how it would make any difference
Yes good idea as people like to vote 1 and ruin the vote But Devs dont take notice of the score too much so voteing 1 dont automatically ruin it But a better system would be better so Devs wudnt have to troll thru all the threads because the scores are ruined etc
The .5 thing won't make any difference to an idea making it's way into the games. The input from Dev's is non existent as can be seen from the idea's with perfect 10's, and it's not as though there are that many 10's that a dev doesn't have time to comment. Bugs and obvious issues such as poor coding should not be something that has to be voted on. As has been pointed out in the past, the only fair voting system would be a system where one can only vote when leaving a comment. Maybe some guide lines letting us know what Kano want would be helpful and prevent us wasting our time trying to help Kano out.
It wasn't that long ago that anytime someone put a poll on their post they got told it held no bearing on the matter because so few people came to the Forum it wasn't an accurate result. Hard to believe game changes are being made now because a few people all voted 10 on an Idea.
i have adressed this issue before... Giving .5 would not change it. but on the other hand changing the scale to 1-4 would. You dont have to be a math genius to understand how averages work. a 1 doesnt hurt a 4 nearly as much as a 0 hurts a 10.
1 star=- disgust, hate it, totally disagree 2 star- more disagree than agree, but has some merit. 3 star more agreement than disagree, but needs some ironing 4 star love it, hurry up already cant believe i didnt think of it.
Lets be real....Any type of rating system doesnt mean anything, weve seen poor rated ideas get accepted and great rated ideas not even get the time of day, the only time an idea gets accepted is if it was already on Kanos to do list, if someone happens to bring it up as an idea than Kano can jump on it saying "LOOK...we listen to our players". Scrap the ratings all together as they dont mean squat. But if there has to be a rating system.....then I would prefer skywalkers idea of 1-4
