For me, and many others, this is extremely confusing.

There are syndicate wars which you join, attack, and earn War Points and are then ranked by said war points.

There are random other wars which you join, attack, and earn War Points and are then ranked by said war points on a different scale than above.

Can we PLEASE separate these two???????? Call one of them Vengence Points or Syndicate Points or something to show the difference? Getting the same name "War Points" for two entirely different exercises is very off-putting. Also, when I look at "current season" war points there aren't a whole lot of syndicates with points. But last Synd war, there were 73 participants. I'd rather see syndicate war points ranked in the rank screen then whatever that other war thing is about.

Please clear up this confusion. Thanks!

    Summary:

Call personal syndicate enemy wars something else (only official syndicate war gets war points)
Rank Syndicate War Points in the ranking NOT personal war points from the wars with other syndicates.

Somehow, i was more confused by you then the the conflicting names in the game.

I dont play LCN much so I really dont LCN enough to really care.

but shouldnt it be as simple as Syndicate war points are only counted and seen inside the syndicate wars, and the "at war" points are all over the game?

I think the original intention was to replace the "at war" system because its "gameable". Not sure if the "at war" system is removable from the game tho....

does it have achievements for it?

The fact that it is this confusing to talk about should help prove my case.

You join syndicate wars and then attack other syndicates. Your syndicate earns War Points which you are ranked against other syndicates based on these war points.

but at the SAME TIME, there are regular wars in which individuals attack and earn War Points and are ranked against other syndicates based on these war points but on a DIFFERENT ranking because it is different wars.

PLEASE differentiate between these two more clearly!!

"Syndicate, Armada,Guild and Faction" Wars are a fairly new feature, and last about 4 days, the other War(mode) you are talking about, which I don't participate in is something that has been around for some time,( PC is one of the games the older war is not on), also the "" older war mode feature can affect the regular game ,since rival syndicates carry over their rivalries and retaliation happens with the syndicates involved, they also have the points noted on their syndicate profile page if indeed they joined those wars.

    WAR MODE::::::::
the one you seem to be asking about,
    SYNDICATES
Join an existing Syndicate or create your own to climb the leaderboards as an organized force of gangs with a common goal! Ally yourselves with like-minded Syndicates and make enemies of those who stand in your way.
    War
Syndicate Leaders and officers can choose to enable War Mode, which will allow them to compete with other Syndicates for War Trophies, and XP rewards.
War Syndicates are ranked according to how many War Points (WP) they have. WP is earned by doing attacks, Punches and Hits on Mobsters who belong other War Guilds.
You only get WP for a limited number of each type of action against a single opponent, with kills and wins awarding the most.
Be warned, targeting a member of another War Guild will add you to the War Rivals list of everyone in that Syndicate for a time, even if you are normally outside their Fight Range!
For more detailed information about getting WP, visit your Syndicate Page and click the blue (i) button beside the War info.
Pro tip: A way tougher player hitting you up for War Points? Don't hit back! Warring players can only hit you a few times if you're outside their Fight Range, but if you attack them back youll end up on their Personal Rivals list for a whole day or until you are killed.

two totally different games within the game

I think he is just asking for them to be named better so its not confusing as hell to talk about with friends.

War Mode ................... Syndicate Wars ............ both have war points , one is for 4 days one has a season :p that does seem to distinguish them ,at least for me it does.

I can still see where it would be confusing, esp if you where working with less experienced players.

Even more so if your guild/sydicate previously called 'warmode" guildwars/sydicate wars before the new ones released.

I could see if both features are going to stay, there being different names for the points.

Not sure why this even got a negative vote. Changing a bit of text to make things less confusing can't take up too much time can it? I don't play LCN so I'm not really sure how it is, but if it's confusing it should be changed.

I'm trying to get the name changed as well, there's been a few instances where I answered a question about Syndicate Wars (the new one) and it turns out the person was asking about the old one. I'll get this cleared up.

Yeah.. We ranked 5th last season in the Syndicate Wars (under fight tab). A fellow from another group said, What do you mean 5th? You didn't even get any War Points. Well, when you get War Points for two different "games within the game" as Linda so aptly put it, it's a bit confusing.

I definitely understand the difference between the two, but trying to explain them and talk about them with others in the game is extremely exhausting as a result of the duplicate names.

Thanks, mi7ch, Bacon, Eraser, for the support.

Yeah we're kicking around some ideas about what to rename the old War Mode to differentiate it from the Syndicate Wars.
