Time to battle through the hallowed halls of Valhalla! A New Location is now available.

Valhalla does not contain the same crafting-related progression mechanic as the previous Viking Clan location release.

Nice timing, in the same minute I unlock Odin's Raven, I want to travel and a new Location comes out :)

Thanks mi7ch!♥ When can we expect a New Boss & New Challenges???

Also, it would be nice to get some kind of update on the Blacksmith, especially now that we will have more items to craft! LOL

Very cool. Not the same progression mechanics odins ravens or the locations previous to that?

Not the same as Odin's Ravens, so you don't have to go back to the previous location or craft anything to progress. Or so I've been told! ;)

I would like to add though that both in this new world and in odins ravens that the number of drops needed from the previous challenge to advance to the next is much to high and out of proportion. One would think that the drop ratio of items from an adventure would be a number that allows one to have the number of items needed to advance by the time they finished that adventure. It seems silly to me that one can finish an adventure and still not have the number of items needed to advance to the next adventure. Considering the amount of energy needed to do these adventures is so high that it only allows one to do an adventure twice (or in some cases once) per level....it just seems once again as if we should have the number of drops needed by the time we finished that adventure. Even worse is the fact that when one finishes the last adventure in a particular world and has the next world available to them....they can not get their daily points until they go back and get all the drops needed to start the first adventure in the new world. Factoring in the XP needed to level at these stages, the energy cost of these adventures vs the energy recovery upon leveling and the insufficient drop rate of some adventures........in some cases one must level several times just to be eligible to get their dailies and at these levels that can be quite time consuming and expensive in terms of stamina refills/money.

The transition from one worlds adventures to the next and how it can effect getting ones daily points at the highest of levels has been brought up before and smack spoke about doing something about it yet I havent heard a word since. Im all for things getting a bit more challenging but in this case I think the transition should not carry such a hefty price tag/penalty.

In addition......this can present even more of a problem/penalty if someone in this position happens to be in a guild that is competing for the Gamer point trophy. The way that particular competition is set up its a race to finish ones dailies at 12am pst on the 7th day......not exactly fair that some have to do so much more in time and possibly expense.

I think the easiest way to alleviate this problem is what I discussed with Smack way back when......Dont have eligibility for the first adventure of a new world require drops from an adventure in the previous world. Or at least have the drop requirement more in line with the completion of an adventure

A general question, because it won't pertain to me for quite some time (I'm still in MGT at the moment). You can only do one adventure per level for these newest locations? So the cost per adventure is over 300 energy?

The last adventures in these worlds are over 300 energy. In some cases a player will have enough energy left over to eke out 2 shots at an adventure per level but thats certainly not always the case. Even with 2 chances at a drop per level it can take an insane amount of time and resources to get 70 drops. Its definitely rough but when it comes to having all the drops necessary to access a new worlds first adventure it becomes down right ridiculous

The Shadow Valkyrie nears. Fight her on Valhalla's steps.
    0%
    Reward:
    33.600 billion+
    3910 XP
    Black Feather
    Random Drop
    Requires:
    313 Energy
    10 Chieftains

Im not sure what the whole 10 chieftain requirement is all about....Im pretty sure everyone at theses levels have a few more than that....lol Thats kind of like some of the ridiculous coin rewards given out at certain achievements...it like ummmmm...whats the point? IDK....Maybe thy want us to drop 10 chiefs.....but considering the difficulty of getting all ones chiefs and their importance I cant imagine Kano would pull that one. But then again....................... ;)

A good example of what Im talking about is JJs current situation. She has competed 80% of her last adventure in Odins Ravins and has less than half the required drops(70) to advance to the first adventure in Valhalla. At the current drop rate she wont even be close to having the required drops by the time she finishes her current adventure making her unable to get her dailies upon completion of her current adventure without going to extremes in terms of leveling/stamina usage and or FP. As I stated previously its understandable that some things become more challenging as one rises in levels but it shouldnt become that difficult/expensive to merely get ones dailies. Basically the game is forcing players to spend FP to complete the most mundane of tasks regardless of how much stamina one has or how many rewards and boosts they save/use

I am curious if there is any better adventure drop / blacksmith then the blacksmith in Battle of Bifrost, or it will be just like the Odin's Ravens, you waste some energy on the adventures to do the GPs, and then go back to Battle of Bifrost to make better weapons?

Ahhh my dear Blimp - you had to expect it this time. KANO trying to make it challenging. Not saying I agree with what they've done. Part of me does and part of me doesn't. However there is or can be a fine line between challenging and annoying. It is shocking - now that I've re-read your post, that after having completed 80% of the last adventure in the Odin's Ravens world, that JJ is only at 1/2 or less the number of Ravens Pendants required. My guess is by the time she does the adventure 120x - she'll be there. Probably not the news you wanted to hear however.

Me thinks that KANO is saying to you - COME BACK AND PLAY!!

Jared - there is a reason that people go to 1500-3000 energy. So they can do more than 1 adventure per each level gained.

Any idea when the new boss for Valhalla is coming?

LOL...I can think of a few things kano might be trying to say but I dont think "come back and play" is one of them.;)

I get the whole challenge part thats why Im really only questioning the validity/fairness of the requirements to go from the last adventure in a world to the first of the next as it directly effects ones ability to get there dailies which has always been a simple mundane task to encourage daily play. It doesnt affect just the player in this position but also the entire guild in which the belong.

Not as big a deal but still pretty silly to me or as u say "annoying" is why bother to have any drop requirements for the next adventure and drop rates for the previous/ current adventure so out of line with the number of times it takes to get the achievement for finishing any adventure. Just seems weird to have a requirement of doing an adventure say 80 times when the drop rate is going to ensure u need to do it at least 100 times to even have a chance. This really becomes painfully evident considering that many of these adventure can only be done once upon leveling ...2 at best. A drop rate of 45% on an adventure that can only be done once upon leveling is already daunting enough if one doesnt prefer to use FP on energy refills. Then throw in the whole daily point thing and it simply becomes ridiculous.

I get that the energy needed to do an adventure needs to increase as the drops improve in numbers but at some point it will just become unplayable without having to spend FP or taking absolute insane amounts of time due to the current energy recovery cap per level. One suggestion would be to lower the energy amounts needed per adventure as well as the att/def numbers of the drops and make them all be able to be blacksmithed at either a higher cost or that need more of a particular drop per blacksmithed item

    My dear Sir

Most likely KANO is trying to make things more challenging. Maybe KANO got bored and decided to do something different? No idea. But my guess is that KANO wants you and yours to come back and play more - and maybe this is their way (albeit mildly ham handed) of asking you back.

I dont understand this one. Upon leveling energy recovery is capped at 500 what good does 1500-300 energy do in that instance? Going a moderate amount over the cap helps due to the remainder of energy left after one does their adventures but 1500-3000? I get the large amount of energy if one likes to burn FP on energy refills but the return on that is about as bad as it gets.

Heres an update. JJ just finished the last adventure in odins ravens and must now do the first adventure in vahalla to get her daily requirements. 70 drops from the previous world are required to do the first adventure in Vahalla, after finishing that adventure (90 times at 304 energy per) she only got 51 drops. That means if she happens to be the luckiest person on the face of the planet it will take her a MINIMUM of 19 more levels (probably closer to 35-38 levels ) at 366,000 + exp per level before shes even eligible to complete her daily points which was intended to just get people to play a little everyday but is also tied to bonus XP individually and for the guild as well as trophies and rewards if one is in season play. The only alternative is to buy a large number of energy refills at 10 FP per which is a penalty for being a high level at best ....but more like extortion if ya ask me....lol

Thanks, GMF. That was the point I was trying to infer. It seems that you got it. But it went over other players' heads. If we don't want to encourage players to have more than 500 energy, maybe we should eliminate adventures altogether? This is a fighting game, after all, not an adventure game or a boss game or a challenge game or a daily point game. At least, that's what I keep hearing.
