Rising from the lost city of R'lyeh, this tentacled monstrosity threatens life as we know it! Plus he probably has some sweet loot, which is what you're really after.

The new Barbary World Boss, Cthulu, is in the game now and will be available to attack soon! (Due to World Boss scheduling.)

i like it but one question i have is about how frequent will the bosses apear now? will we till have a 2 week cooldown or is it going to be an even longer cooldown down. because the way it is now(before this update) we would be able to fight every world boss once a month but witha fith one not sure if that will still happen.

but overall i like the new boss

EDIT: also does this come with new crafting as well?

With 5 world bosses why can't we do 3 at a time now. Keeps them moving. Or can we get the world boss to activate once a world boss is defeated instead of having to wait every friday saturday morning.

I've been out of contact for three months, so please forgive the thread necromancy.

While I love the new World Boss, wouldn't have something more Ottoman in style would have been more suited to the Barbary Coast? As far as I remember, R'Lyeh is somewhere in the South Pacific. Still, it's fun to be able to battle dread Cthulhu. And always remember: That is not dead which can eternal lie, and with strange eons even death may die.

In Lovecraft's Cthulhu Mythos, R'lyeh is indeed in the South Pacific, near the pole of inaccessibility. However, another author wrote that R'lyeh lies in the Baltic Sea. Who's to say that a city such as R'lyeh couldn't suddenly appear off the Barbary Coast? ;)

True, what is a geographical location to a city and it's dead, dreaming God who defy the very laws of nature and reality. :D

Now hurry up with the next locations, I want to see what manner of Kaijuu you plan to unleash in Japan. lol
