[LCN] January 4, 2011 Server Issues

    We seem to have had issues start at about 1am PT, looks to be some connectivity issues that we are looking into now.

    Usually we get alerts when things like this happen but we didn't for this one.

    We apologize for this outage, delay in being alerted to it and hope to be back up again shortly.

    I will post future updates here.

    Looks like we are back up now, again we apologize for the down time, what a way to start the new year.

    We will be running a postmortem to make sure we understand why we were not alerted to the issue and to make sure that it does not happen again.

    The hitlist just froze up 2 seconds each time , minute between !

    Things happen, I think we all can manage, through the long hard wait of a whole wopping 9 hours or so. Had to actually do real stuff again, for got what that was like. LMAO, happy new years to you all and hopefully you get your stuff checked and fixed, possibly have an alert for your alert system. Maybe one for that too if they both fail. J/K messing with ya. Thanks for getting it took care of as soon as you could I think I'll live now that you did. ;)

    Yes, we are doubling up our alerts, the one that we currently used for our cells seemed to have stopped pushing messages last night which was the main cause for why the issue dragged out.

    I work in a datacentre for the Power industry. I know all about alerts not being sent out, total PITA. or when we call the on-call support and they don't 'get the page' or their cell 'ran out of battery' grrrr...

    I figured it was a connectivity issue.

    Glad its back but you allowed time to continue...so gamer points not done, daily reward reset, challenges continued to count down - annoying!

    We apologize for the outage, we are taking measures to reduce the risk of this happening again.

    Yes indeed, it was very annoying. We now have alerts on alerts. :)
