Scrolling thru them each morning to see what the members have to say, I thought in order to allow someone a forum account, they had to be approved in some manner, if the forum is full of bots so easy, it makes sense how the bots and scripts are so easily used and not discovered by Kano detection, as often as they should be , ingame, at last that is how it seems to me.
Comparing the forums software for detecting spam accounts, which we did not build and is third-party, to our own in-house detection software for the games is apples and oranges. They might both be fruit, but that's where the comparison ends. By the time I get in (usually around 9 am Pacific) all the bot posts are cleaned up so I don't see them. I do have a backlog of accounts that the forum software catches that I clean out, so it isn't letting all of them through. We keep this forum up to date software wise but I'll check and see if there's a spam update or something we missed.
Hopefully there is something out there that will help , My day starts a lot earlier than yours and it can be really bad with the spam.
i see the spams all the time in here as well way to much an way to often there as got to be away to detect them an keep them from creating an posting stupid links in here which if someone clicks on them it can badly damage there computers which it is possible figure i bring this up too..
