How to Leave Squad Fights

I just joined a squad fight with a monster with over 100,000 hit points, and I also have a single boss fight (the same fight against Longshoreman Zombie) and I don't think I can help my squad and help myself at the same time. I think it's quite odd that we can't team our squad against the same boss fight to get credit for having killed the boss for our own progress. Otherwise we have to kill the boss for one player, then another, and another. We may as well just kill our bosses on our own rather than ask for help.

What's the deal here? Does killing a boss with a squad count toward killing it for ourselves, or are we just wasting stamina helping others while not getting our own progress until we start the fight for ourselves?

Anyway, if the boss I'm fighting for someone else isn't helping me progress, I'd rather just back out of it, but I see no way to do that. I don't mind helping others, but I've finished all the outbreaks in Canada, so all the stamina I spend killing someone else's boss is only giving me experience, but no credit toward killing the same boss that I need to kill.

What gives?

ok boss fight give u achievements on level 1 - 5 - 10 every time u hit boss achievement u get extra 10 skill points and that a lot points ( i wish there more boss level achievements like 15 - 20 ..._)

also u get drops like destructive ones are good
if u keep upgrade them and will help u fight back some rivals and its perfect when u get all boss drops upgraded level 4 and all u do next time just help others and collect more destructive items
and you get part drops for property upgrades and weapons upgrades

i know there is some hard times when some players do 10 attacks each and all ulocked powers unlocked and no one else can help u and you just get stuck on your boss and next day find out that time is up and boss is not passed next level ... some times that happen on my boss from Brazil one only 4 members can help ...
