Thank you for bringing this to our attention. There appears to be a bug in reporting the "Hired Squad Strength". I can confirm from the info you provided that the player you attacked in fact has enough defenders in their Top Squad to earn the 10% Defense Boost. We will look to fix up this bug ASAP. Doesn't look like a bug to me. She has Hired Squad in her Top Squad for the 10% boost but doesn't have any Hired Squad filling her "Hired Squad Only" slots. Any Hired Squad not added to your Top Squad will be added below and assist you in fights taking in inventory and using the specified attack and defense values. The pictures above clearly show that she has Hired Squad in her Top Squad giving her a 10% defense boost (Total Defense Boost 15% Hired Squad Boost 10% Contract Boost 5% Ambush Boost 0%) but has 0 Hired Squad Bringing extra weapons into battle (Hired Squad Members: 0)
This is correct. I jumped the gun a little bit on this but after talking to the developer in charge of this feature I have been informed this is behaving as intended. To clarify, the Hired Squad Strength only refers to "Any Hired Squad not added to your Top Squad". These slots begin to unlock after level 150 and can be found under Squad -> Hired Squad Members. And to further clarify, the Hired Attack/Defense Boost ONLY applies when you have an applicable Hired Squad Member included within your Top Squad.
