Facebook "Gamer Chat" and You

Hey folks on Facebook,

As you might have noticed, Facebook has introduced what they are terming a "gamer chat" across every game on their network. This chat is a completely separate service offered by Facebook that we have no influence over, but here is some info that might be helpful to you:

• Kano does not control this chat and has no moderation capabilities
• Facebook claims this will not increase any server load on the games
• This chat will appear if you play 6 out of 7 days of the week or 28 out of 30 days of the month
• You can report players Facebook or mute them via the tools available in the chat
• Facebook is planning on adding a button for us to turn this off

If you encounter some objectionable content in the chat, please use the built-in tools to report it to Facebook as we lack the capacity to take any action on things that are reported to us that occur in the "gamer chat". If any subsequent information becomes available, I will update this thread.

Just more FB madness that isn't necessary. In some of my non-Kano games, the nasty language going on makes Kano chat's look like Kindergarten. lol

Do they ban you for posting facts in Chat like Kano does?

 

I will avoid it - things get totally out of hand when there is an "open" chat - ...will it be compulsory to use it or can we just still use FB messenger Midge?

 

You don't have to use gamer chat if you don't want to.

 

Why on earth would anyone want an open "gamer chat" across all games? Just looks like FB trying another way to get us to reveal more about ourselves and fit in some extra advertising space. I can't imagine any FB user asked for this.
Can we report Facebook?

 

There is one player who plays 4 games and finally was banned in PC WC just cursing up a storm with some pretty nasty words just cause he can, very immature, curses have their place but this guy is over the top
