Does the Personal Loadout have any (extra) effect in battles?

They give us the same Att/Def points if we don't use them as "Personal weapons"

Or is it just for show?

The personal loadout weapons add to your total att/def. Check your profile page and it will show your att/def. In battel your att/def is the points from the skills you add into att/def plus the sum of the 3 weapons att/def.

So if your added 1000 into your att and you have 3 weapons w/ attacks str of 25 each... your total attack in battle is 1075.
