Similar to Guild Wars, have a division structure in Battle Arena.

To make it simple to implement, a player's division will be based on their level.

As with my other idea (League Tables for Divisions In Guild Wars - http://forums.kanoapps.com/threads/league-tables-for-divisions-in-guild-wars.27033/) publish division tables and reward those finishing at or near the top of each division.

Advantage would be that it encourages lower level participation.

(Since RAIDs started, some of the BA participants are RIDICULOUSLY stronger than the weaker ones and the HUGE divide is acting as a DISINCENTIVE to participation)

I like it. I gave up the Arena recently but this might tempt me back.

No Thanks cause that would ruin the population of the arena on how it works...i rather attack anyone unknown cause i rather keep it that way so i know who they are without the division's i rather guess on who they are cause it ruins the game if u do that or if they do it!

They could still be unknown during the battle and the tables only published at the end. I know a lot of low level players don't bother as they don't last long. This would encourage and incentivise them to join and maybe get something out of it rather than just being cannon fodder

What is with this everyone must win mentality? Damn millennials. Lower levels should lose in BA. They should compete, see where their weaknesses are, build their character accordingly, and over the course of time improve and eventually end up with a good showing in BA. I used to get my ass handed to me in BA; now when I have time to participate I can finish near the top. Still can't beat the top 2 but my character isn't on par with theirs so I shouldn't be able to beat them unless they don't fully participate. That's the way it should be.

I don't know if you're getting the point David. I'm looking for a way to encourage people to participate in the Arena and feel they are getting something out of it rather than JUST being cannon fodder. It should be clear to you that participation is down and only going one way so the idea is to try and encourage people back. I am not saying that lower levels participate in a separate Arena or anything; simply that they have a gauge to show how they are doing against their peers along with associated rewards (in the way of FP's / XP - NOT achievements since these WOULD penalise higher level players)

I am probably now mid-level. I can get taken down by a big player in seconds so I play the Arena for a few minutes at the start and hope I don't get spotted! Even in defensive mode I'm easy pickings. I'd be really interested to see how I compare to people at a similar level to me so am up-voting this

I think you are a tiny bit mistaken. It's not an, everyone must win mentality, it an, everyone should stand a chance, mentality. This is a (sub) game. There is no real point in playing unless you stand a chance of winning or if it is not enjoyable. Have people become so corrupted by the media that the concept of, fair fight, no longer exists as a valid option. Suggest a handicapping system for the high and mid levels and just sit back and listen to the howls of protest.

Also, this idea of, seeing where your weaknesses are, just doesn't make sense! In most cases their weakness will be that they are not 20,000 levels higher with more than 100,000 skill points extra allocated to their character. The only time lower level players can compete on a levelish playing field is at the very start of the event and at the beginning of the Sudden Death phase. When you respawn you are either faced with players in defensive mode or others so far above you that, when they notice they are being attacked, death is inevitable. This wouldn't be so bad if it wasn't for the 5% points that get taken off you. Most of the time you actually end up with less points than you had when you respawned unless you are lucky enough to find someone else taking a chance on grabbing a few extra points.

this is still rattling on come on now give it up cause this aint gonna be a idea nor a suggestion for kano developer...just play it the way it is an how it is..cause once ya get used to playin the battle arena u will know who is who once ya hit em an what health they have gotten an that is how u can tell if that player is a high level or not an etc etc...geeezz..

Edit: if ya wanna become more better of winning the battle arena it is best if u have a shit load of favor points..Attacks, Defense an Health an i mean massive Health an a crap load of stamina an that is your high chance of winning maybe..okay have a great day an a happy 4th lol

Here's a better idea..... Whenever someone posts a new idea, someone from kano should post whether it's feasible or not so people don't waste their time on something that will never be done no matter how much we debate it either way. It would save us all alot of time and aggravation
