A interesting thought is, you really cannot defend yourself from attacks if you end up on a rival list. You can counterattack but it resets the timer when they hit it and counts as a new 24 hour window. This is flat out Wrong counters should not reset the timer, if you whip yes, attack yes, bounty yes, but a bounty trap or counterattack should not. opinions?
I myself am not really a big fan of counter attacks. They are far too easy to obtain as all you really have to do is let someone attack you 40 times and then you can just sit behind a wall of counters. No wonder there are so many "brave" people who go for a higher level's bounty; they don't have to be nervous about winding up on that person's battle list for 24 hours, they have counters to hide behind. If anything the threshold should be pushed much higher before these things become cheap enough to hide behind. The last thing we should be thinking about is making them easier to come by.
Good point George! Usually the newcomers to the game don't realize that counterattacking only prolongs their agony of being hit, hehehe.
I'm pretty sure it doesn't, at least the last time I tried to attack someone that had a bounty trap on me, computer said no. But if it does ... ... this is the fastest way for them to find out
Counter attacks do not reset the timer! It took me awhile to figure this out, but now I counter to my hearts content
