Even so, the number of attacks could STILL be related. What I am saying is that there are two conditions: time and number of attacks.
Time - the boost lasts for a certain time. When the time runs out, you lose your boost.
Number of Attacks - you can only attack a certain number of times (call it "X"). Once you have attacked X times, the boost vanishes.
If one of those runs out, you lost the boost.
Your problem is the time limit. If you are not attacking (are you being attacked?) then you are losing the boost because of the time limit, which appears to be very short.
I tend to lose mine to the attack limit. Unless, of course, the time limit is 30-60 seconds.
With TWO conditions, you don't have to attack to lose the boost. You don't have to wait for the timer.
EDIT: Assuming the time limit is over a minute, then the attack limit appears to be 20. It is definitely more than 15.
