Bans: question and proposal

Hi.
I'd like to know if there is a rule of how long chat bans last or if it is arbitrary how long somebody is banned?

I also would propose that there should be a ban for world chat only while being able to post in armada chat. WC bans could be longer (e.g. 6 months) or even permanent if need be. This would prevent people from posting offensive things in WC without punishing the entire armada for a longer time.

@Gogolak is correct, if you contact Support they will (usually) lift your chat ban for you. Otherwise they remain in place.

Except for the exception for Dale and the informal workflow for lifting bans: What about bans especially for WC? Is this a bad idea? Since the reasons for bans are mostly postings in WC (as far as I can see) it would be a appropriate to ban players from there.

 

KANO had a meeting on chat ban's "correct me if wrong Mitch" to be lighter on ban's from world chat.
I've seen it, and believe the new PG-13+ is working quite well to allow players to step "somewhat out of that old fine line"

• Just do not overstep the line, all adults here and basically know the limit's.
• Don't even ask that fine line, you already know it..

 

and if you're ever chat banned, you also can't post messages in bosses, either.
