Anyone know anything about the drop ratio from adventures, that is what percentage of times will doing a quest yield you an item? I have only casually paid attention, but it seems to me this ratio can be different between adventures. It may also have changed over time - I have a number of Hellfire Chariots that is slightly more than half the number of times I've done that quest - now I went back and did the quest 30 more time but received only 9 drops, which is highly unlikely if the ratio is 50% (yes it could happen but if you do the math, the probability of it is about 2%). 1. Is there a fixed ratio to begin with? 2. Is it different for different quests (initially)? 3. Is it reduced when you do old quests, e.g. not in your latest unlocked level etc.? 4. Has Kano (secretly or openly) changed it over time? ...
I think it'd be nice to know the chances of an adventure drop. I mean, you see the exact numbers in the Rune/Gambit/Treasure/Hunter Challenges and the requirements for a Boss drop... Why can't we see each adventure drop chance? I think it'd be a GREAT idea!
For most adventures I've done so far, the ratio was a bit over 50%. It was the Helheim and beyond adventures, where the ratio dropped.
I have done the first Asgard adventure 139 times and gotten 90 of the dropped weapon (Longships of the Gods). Roughly a drop two out of three times. Without anything to back this up other than anecdotal evidence, I suspect the adventures are all set to drop about half the time and anything widely variant from that is just what statisticians call an outlier result.
Hmm, almost everyone seems to report they have a bit more than 50%. In fact I have yet to see anyone say less than 50. I also seem to have strange streaks of drops resp. non-drops, but of course I could be deceiving myself there. I guess it is not completely random but done according to some mechanism that is supposed to enforce more balance. I'm also starting to think that the mechanism is probably the same for all adventures, but because of the strange "streaks" I often get suspicious.
Now I'm at 106 out of 171, meaning I've gotten 16 out of the last 32. My guess is each time is a 50/50 chance. If that's true, the odds of ten drops in a row or no drop ten times in a row is only 1024-to-1. With as many players on here and as many adventures as we all do, I'm sure everyone has had one extreme or the other at least a few times.
