Im not sure what the holdup is on this. What are we afraid to show by having a real faction contest? It would not be difficult to have 10-12 key categories, rank the top 20, assign pts to each position (30 for first, 25, for second, 20 for third, 17,16,15,14,13,12,11,10,9,8,7,6,5,4,3,2,1) and then add up the points for each category and determine a winner. This would be far superior way to tell who the top faction is, it would allow people to play ALL day on sunday to determine a winner versus waking up and finding some faction allegedly had all 25 members on within 60-90 minutes of a new day. Make the categories stuff we do every day but dont limit it, show what the real factions are doing, make the categories: total fights won in a week, total outbreaks done, total bounties won, total cash won, total cash spent (on lists), total levels gained, total bosses killed, total booby traps tripped, total helps done (boss, challenge, outbreak), total ambushes tripped. This could be your list or you could place others, but then you would see what faction is really playing, and what faction is just logging on for gps. I would like to see how we stack up against other factions each week in these categories, stack up against HM, TF, Won, TBH (all sixteen of them) and any other faction that feels they are a top faction, lets put things where they are and make the xp award based on gameplay, not login races..... its time, the gps is great for finding out who is logging on, now lets find out who is playing and reward the players!!! There is nothing to be afraid of here, there will be no abuse, nothing can hide when people are actually playing the game, numbers dont lie, if a faction has 25,000 fight wins in a week and a login faction has 2,500 the login faction wont get a point in fight wins and that is how it should be! Kano take a stand and you will find the proof is in the pudding, great factions will rise to the challenge and these "paper" factions will disappear when you are no longer rewarding them for logging in. Better to get votes on it I personally would like to see GP uncapped but you say "people can play all day on sunday to determine a winner" Ï assume you mean when it's sunday for you? People from all around the world play Kano games. It is always going to be 3am for someone when the new season starts. When it's Sunday for Kano, it's Monday for me.
for me to get up at 2:00 or 3:00 am EST on a Sunday morning to get dgps in to win for a virtual trophy, No thanks lol I'll pass I like to be in an armada, squad, guild and faction that take a relaxed approach, I do my daily DGPs for me and all the groups I am in are the same way
yes when i meant to play all day sunday, i mean the final day of the season, the season shouldnt end at the beginning of the day, the season should end at the end of the seventh day, and all stats accumulated throughout the seventh day should count. i think they can keep gps, if they want a measure of people logging in, but for an xp reward, i would like to see it rewarded to a faction that really plays the game......not someone who logs in by a certain time, i mean really dont we want a playing faction to be rewarded? then lets have a contest to determine that, not a login race....

This topic has been discussed numerous times and lots of great ideas have been tossed around but Kano really hasnt chimed in on it much if at all. Weird kinda considering it keeps getting brought up and usually has decent support I may not agree with every last finite detail of the idea as its posted here but I 100% agree that lots could be done to make GP waaaaaay more fun , challenging, fair and worth while. The way its currently set up is just silly, there is a nasty time zone bias, its alt friendly and the only real competition is on the last day when its a race to see who logs in first which isnt even a category...lol The obvious thing that need to be done is to remove the ridiculously low daily point limit rewarding the guilds/armadas /syndicates that actually play and perhaps even motivate some to play more. This will take alt guilds completely out of the running and allow players and their achievements in the game to determine the outcome rather than time. A lower daily point total limit (perhaps the same as it is now (16k))could still be in place thus allowing for less active guilds to still get there xp reward at the end of the week, but every thing in excess of that limit is still tallied and will determine the overall winner. 10 stars for the idea in general
Are people so deluded that they think winning a cyber trophy for 2 minutes work a day makes them the best Faction? I complete the DGP daily and have done so for over a year, daily. That does not prove I'm good at the game. I don't even look at the faction leader board as I don't consider it any value to the game. As for an uncapped system, it would work if the results were kept private to that Faction only. That would prevent others from having a target to aim for. However, next would come spy's.. such a sad world
Don't they already have this in Viking with Guild War Rivals? Each week the best Faction (Guild) accumulates the highest amount of War Points and is rewarded with a cyber trophy. Warring factions would be allowed to attack other warring factions and its people up to 5 times without showing up on the standard rivals page. Puts a lot more co-ordinated attacks out there and would do well in Zombie. The idea behind it was to let factions war with other factions without affecting those that do not wish to participate. Providing a method of letting the Guilds (factions) who wish to war as a faction group!! Then, each season, a new ranking appears with war trophies handed out to the best factions - or group of 25 people. PS : It may need to be adjusted for Zombie, as differences exist between Viking & Zombie. and remember this whole war thing operates with All 25 slayers.. if your down just 1 person, it shows up a lot! PSS : At the very least it would "teach" some people how to play as a group! and get support from other players! (which is badly needed, especially at lower levels)
