A question about multiple accounts on one IP

Ok, im gonna make this short and to the point. What if someone lets say 2 years ago had 2 or more accounts on a kano game, and if that player stopped using those extra accounts, 1 year ago. Now, if kano were to check their IP, that wouldnt be really fair now would it? I for example, when i first started playing VC i had 2 accounts, and i stopped playing on one of them about 13 or 14 months ago, so if i were to be IP checked, what would happen?

 

Now how would anyone know it was you??

There is absolutely nothing wrong with being honest, and we appreciate when players admit that they had multiple accounts rather than pretend otherwise.

To answer your question, there are a number of factors we look at when looking into player accounts, and possible alternate accounts, as we're not interested in preventing players from playing legitimately with one account. While I can't outline our process for investigating account, I can tell you that we do our best to keep the games fair and competitive and take action accordingly.

 

just a small note:

as many know, alt account are a petty lil problem in the game. Anyone who plays know the real big problem are bot/script users, BUT.....

Alts not only violate Kano's terms of service, but myspace/facebook terms.
Kano is obligated to uphold those terms as a priority & this can result not only in having your baby accounts banned, but your main account as well!. facebook & myspace have been removing ppls accounts as well for numerous fake accounts on 1 ip, this include ppls main accounts.

so before you think your joe cool & make alt accounts, think about what loosing your main account may be like!

 

1 small correction.

Myspace doesn't have a 1 account policy.

 

If you are not causing trouble or making anyone report that account than you have not problems. Besides why would Kano be wasting time on an inactive account?

 

Having more than one"" game account"" on FB or Myspace is against kano's TOS,having more than One FB account is also not allowed, whether they cause trouble or they are inactive and if people know there are these accounts around , to ignore them is to be part of the problem.
